Maybe, he doesn't have alot help from his dad in the height department, lol. He was the primary offensive option for that team. If you watch their games, all the plays are run to get him looks. Warley just had the ball in his hands often. He is used to shooting off the catch, the bounce. I think he will be an impact player and heavy minute getter in year 2. Wait. Didn't the team have another potential five star prospect in its junior class besides Warley? How did TJ end up being the primary option? Watch the Westown games. They run every play for Berger. Warley plays PG more than Berger does. But Warley is 5 star because he is a 6-5 almost 6-6 PG with elite leaping ability and quickness. His jump shot ain't there yet. Kepnang is 5 star too. Those ratings have to do with projection more than whats on the ground now sometimes. I am not saying he was the best player on the team, just the primary person that they looked for offensive from in the half court.

The best example is the game against Hillcrest Prep with multiple 5 stars on it where Westtown got blown out. Hillcrest had Makur Maker, Mike Foster, and a bunch of other obvious D1 talents and TJ hit his 3s in that enviroment when he got looks. I think he hit like 5 3's in that game.

As a soph he seemed to hold his own against IMG too. Although Cam Reddish was the go-to-guy on his team of course.

His dad is doing the same with his younger brother Quinn. He is getting valuable time against really good players early. Both are very good shooters.

Did I understand correctly that Patrick described Berger’s shooting ability as the best since Sleepy? Berger might see the floor more than many have speculated. I really believe Berger could be the X-Factor. Really looking forward to the season.

Not sure how many games we play, but I hope Berger gets to launch a bunch of threes.

I don't expect great things from TJ this year, but I would like to see him get some time to show us what he can do. He comes in with a reputation as a big time shooter, so hopefully if the rest of his game is able to compete at this level, then he can add that shooting to the team, which they will need this year. Hope to see him get some time in the next few games to see what the program has in this young man.

His shot goes in....but man does he have low release! Yeah, low release and it's kind of slow. Maybe it's just that one vid and he was taking it easy but he's gonna have to get a quicker release and higher release point in game situations against high NCAA level competition.

He gets his shot off quickly enough so that with just a little space he should be fine...our bigs need to learn to set screens without moving/fouling, and he can thrive off of those situations...what's most important is that his form/stroke is very consistent and repeatable, which is the case with most really good shooters...he's also a very good ball handler and passer, which should be helpful in a pick and roll situation...in college ball these days you've got to have reliable perimeter/3 point shooting...I think he can prove to be a very valuable asset in that regard...

The kid shoots it comfortably from beyond the arc. Our offense isn’t great at getting shooters open looks, so Berger’s talents may go to waste. I would love to see him get an opportunity this season.

I would like to see him get some run this year. If his ball handling is sufficient(he was a point guard in high school) then I think he could help. The team does get some open 3's when the ball swings from side to side so hopefully he could capitalize on those. Dante had a few last night and did not make them. TJ may struggle for a while getting that low release off when he is closely guarded but if he picks his spots and make the open shots, it would help.

Kid had a good showing in his debut last night, albeit in garbage time against a bad team. I have high hopes for this kid that he can be a solid rotation piece for us. Hope he’s given a shot to see what he can do against some BE competition.

Hope he’s given a shot to see what he can do against some BE competition. He absolutely looked the part in the limited minutes (during a blow out against a bad team). He appears to be very confident and has a smoothness to his game where he does not seem to be rushing anything, but still has a really quick release. That is something this team could use. I was impressed with the small amount we saw last night.

They had him positioned in the corner which is his money spot. He can also hit from up top, but may not find himself there as often. The release was quick and he elevated. Also, the move to the basket with english is one he did a lot in high school.
