Is this true or just propaganda. Will Mac play this evening?

Blair's 1st real test.
Time to produce when it matters.

If there is one team we could possibly beat without Mac this is the team.
On the flipside, this is one of the few BE road games we could have been favored in so in some ways I’d rather him miss a game it would have been a long shot to expect to win.

That was the achilles heal of the post-Akinjo era...an injury. Time for Blair to be the f-ing man.

There have been plenty of games with less hope than this, but I can't ever recall a game where we were this thin. Basically, we've got a starting 5 plus whatever Wahab can give before he fouls out. Go zone and hope for the best, I guess. Hope this is one of those nights where Providence can't shoot. And those nights aren't exactly rare.

Yurt should get the ball a lot. As will Jahvon Blair. Pickett is the key IMO. If he is passive and only takes like 6 shots, the Hoyas will lose. If he is aggressive and takes however many shots he feels like he can, the Hoyas will win. Pickett, please be aggressive. Play your game. If the guys are afraid of missing, then it will never be fixed. You have so much freedom tonight, use it well. Go Hoyas!
Edit: Which walk on plays tonight? Chuma or Jaden? Or do we go bigger with more George?

Yurtseven, Wahab and Ighoefe rotate for the bigs
Allen, Mosley and Blair rotate for the guards
Picket and Muresan for the forwards
No one is allowed to have foul trouble
Win

I think very hard for us without Mac -
Bigger concern I have is getting Mac back ASAP... ugh really hope this is being overly cautious and he is fine next game.

Starting to think that this team just cannot catch a break! Has yet to go more than two weeks without some dark cloud. Always hope but certainly tempers the enthusiasm for a game that the Hoyas certainly could win.

Hope Blair's 3 pt shot is wet tonight. Only way I see us winning unless Yurt7 takes over the game. Go Hoyas!

I am an optimist. Blair is a ball mover. That will make 3 with Allen and Mosely. THe ball should move like crazy.. If we can withstand the fouls, we win by double digits. Yurt will have 25+.

I’m the pessimist then. Really fearing a 1-3 start if we can’t get Mac back. But I was the pessimist going into MSG and then going to Oklahoma and SMU, so maybe it works...

Blair can be a ball mover if he’s moving without the ball and spitting up for a catch and shoot. Hope this doesn’t force him to up his dribbling which def could use improvement. 🤞
