Amen Saxa. If Ben Gillery can hurt them.... George looked good and will do some good things for us in future, watch out! He definitely didn't look scared...confidence is the 1st step...

If we can take care of business the next three games, and win 9 Big East games we are probably in the tournament. This is very doable but a challenge with the short roster. If there’s any graduate transfer wing or bigger guard we can find who is immediately eligible that would be really handy. I think this is exactly right. I wouldn't count on 8 wins to get us there, but 9 should. However, while I am not trying to Debbie Downer this great thread, we have to realize this team now has one forward. Not one reserve forward. One forward total. We will be playing three guards constantly, and Pickett will need to stay on the floor as much as possible. It looks like Muresan will spell Pickett. It remains to be seen how that will work out. This team could struggle mightily on the glass, and any foul trouble for Pickett could be a disaster.

Foul trouble on Pickett was exactly what we faced against SYracuse, and we survived. Your point still holds.

I'm feeling better and better about where this team will finish in the Big East standings. That is three straight very solid victories (2 on the road) against Big East level competition and we have looked significantly better on offense but also played much better as a whole on defense with much fewer escapes. Dolezal and Hughes hut some very tough shots in 1st half and Boeheim did the same in the 2nd half. Just need to continue to fight over top of the screens when guarding good shooters that are hot. The ball movement and sets on offense make this a tougher team to defend. Pick your poison on man to man or zone because I got 3 upperclassmen guards that understand how to attack it and a sophomore scoring machine that is realizing that doing his thing in the course of normal play now means he'll get enough looks that there is no need to force/panic when he gets the ball. This is really fun to watch and I'm feeling good about what sort of effort will see over these next 3 games.

Reading all the hot takes from December 3rd has been wildly entertaining. Almost as entertaining as watching the Hoyas easily juice the Orange yesterday.

Seven-man rotations and three-guard looks are not weird especially for teams with legitimate centers. Being down a reserve 4 after all that's happened isn't great but nobody in the Big East will be crying for the Hoyas. We can go small with 4 guards, go big and play Yurt and Q together, or bring in Muresan to steal a few minutes. Of all the problems you could have after 10 days of turmoil to come out the other side wondering what happens at back-up PF is about as good as it gets.

If the other parties implicated in this debacle are suspended/dismissed as well, you're left with the following roster Mac, Yurtseven, Mosely, Pickett, Allen, Blair, Wahab, Wilson, and Tim. Not counting walk-ons. That means you're looking at a starting lineup of Allen, Mac, Pickett, Mosely and Yurt backed up by Blair and three centers. en proveng WRONG There is nothing on this roster that will be able to compete with anyone. Our starters will likely have to pWRONG!lay 35+ a game. It's going to be atrocious. Boy have you been proven WRONG!

That said some games will get a little ugly for sure this season when we get into foul trouble. But definitely nothing atroicious.

But definitely nothing atroicious. No problem, we all have the right to be wrong. Things are going pretty good in the face of unexpected calamity. Cheers to the team including the coaches. I've got to say they have done quite well. Shout Out to the coaches

Given our strength of schedule, and depending on what wins we get in the Big East, 8-10 and making the tournament could be feasible, but hard to tell at the moment. The other big wild card is the Big East tournament. For example, 8-10 with two wins at the Big East tournament (10-11), would be a much stronger resume than if we lost in the first round. My guess is that 8-10 would likely require some BET help, whereas 9-9 might not. One key thing to remember is that the bubble is almost always weaker than people think it will be a month or two in advance.

Reading all the hot takes from December 3rd has been wildly entertaining. Almost as entertaining as watching the Hoyas easily juice the Orange yesterday. This is my favorite thread because the “Call me crazy” intro will read differently after every game. At first, it sounded crazy. Then it was like, “Oh , maybe...” Then we lose two more players, and optimism is crazy. Then we beat Cuse, and we’re all about making a tourney run. The name of this thread will be like a shapeshifter all season.
