Your ongoing and repetitive box score "analysis" ignores some of the most important qualities of a successful point guard...leadership (does he lead by example through his on and off court effort (check)...does he make his teammates better through his on court desire/example (note the improvement of Blair, Bile and Pickett during the second half of the season (check)...does he make clutch/game winning plays and especially f/ts with the game on the line-see the BE tournament (check)...does the staff trust him to take care of the ball and make the right play (check)...will his teammates rally around him and elevate their effort/games due to his leadership (check)...now, are there areas in which he can improve?...absolutely, and hopefully we'll see that improvement/growth reflected as he goes from his freshman to his sophomore year...

I came on here for the first time in months to see about the new commit, and the same old people are dragging down Dante. Good lord, glad to know I missed exactly nothing.

What made Harris different? Staples points to his work ethic.
“He’s a no-nonsense, hardworking-type kid; he didn’t do a lot of talking, he was all about action,” Staples recalled. “He took care of it right away, all his responsibilities. Academically, he stayed right on top of that making straight A’s and then he just worked extremely hard on the court. He’s just driven, very driven.”
Changing schools is always a challenging task in itself, but Harris knew his potential and wanted the world to see that. A quiet guy, Harris let his work on the court make lots of noise. Staples quickly knew he had a rising star.
“I coached a lot of really good Division I players. I had over 50 or more go to Division I from my previous program,” Staples remarked. “I have to rank Dante in the top 3-5 players at that position, even though he was a little smaller.”

Hard to believe an article that makes nary a mention of his PER, Ortg, WHIP, WAR etc etc /s

Game day #1 tomorrow! Hoping and believing that Dante brings the same intensity and fire from the BET from Day 1 and carries it all season! If he can be the energy and effort leader day in and day out that alone will be incredibly valuable - think he could be like the Marcus Smart of the Hoyas (in terms of heart and soul of the team and defensive effort - obviously very different players, measurables)
EDIT: well… I was somewhat wrong. It’s a long season, hope he shakes this off and improves shot selection

Quite a bit of revisionist history in this article - look at the first page of this thread for when he actually committed to Georgetown. "But by Year 2, Harris realized he wasn’t comfortable at Georgetown, and by the end of that season, he began contemplating a change. “I just felt like my time was up there,” Harris said. Harris didn’t play the first half of this season, then entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal, seeking to transfer mid-year. He watched and cheered as the Hoyas snapped their 29-game Big East losing streak in January, topping DePaul." He maintained a strong relationship with Ewing, who he still keeps in touch with and affectionately refers to as “Coach Pat.” “Coach Ewing was really, really positive for him and he was there for him,” Staples said. “He never said anything negative about him and never turned his back on him. It was kind of an odd breakup because both sides didn’t have anything bad to say about one another.” richmond.com/sports/college/at-virginia-another-undersized-point-guard-hopes-to-follow-kihei-clarks-path-to-stardom/article_cce70af6-b906-11ed-88be-9787bdbe348e.html

It sounds like there is still some level of mutual respect, if perhaps also hurt feelings or regrets. Best wishes to Dante.

What's up with Dante, is it his health or is it the new system? He's not logging a lot of playing time.
