Joe Anderson is a player. He and Dante were AAU teammates and while watching as much video as I could find Anderson impressed men a lot. I believe he's going to Furman.

I been telling people about Dante Harris since he signed nobody would listen to me. He is better then James Akinjo right now. He would take Akinjo right now.he is more athletic shoots the 3 better and is a great defensive player and quicker. He is best point guard in Tennessee easily way underrated we have a top 50 recruit right here look out. Go Hoyas. We all want you to be right jctn, I'll be the 1st to give you props when he proves you right.

I wasn't saying he's a better player (I don't believe he is) just a better athlete and in my opinion a better shooter but that isn't fact and clearly debatable. He's faster I believe as well. He's doing things in that video with relative ease (the windmill) that you only see taller kids attempting. If I'm not mistaken he's listed at 5'9 or 5'11 no(?) a windmill dunk at either height is an incredible feet of athleticism. Don't see Akinjo completing that dunk or Berger for comparison who's listed at 6'3. I'm not saying he's freshmen of the year material I'm just saying he possess unique explosion for a kid his height, better than our last freshmen of the year winner.

Agree that he definitely showed some bounce for a smaller guy (in basketball terms). That was impressive. His quickness has been touted on this board quite a bit, but must admit it didn't show in that video. Don't know who that Anderson kid is, but he is not quick and his handles seemed loose and yet he created space for his shot against Harris. Would have liked it if Harris would have sat in his hip pocket and used his quickness to defend him more, but maybe they were both trying to help the other guy look good in their workout highlights video. I'm probably not giving the kid enough credit there. I do think he'll do well in an uptempo, fast-breaking offense that will create more open shots. It seems Ewing has gone after kids with hops (even the short ones, Harris & Beard, can throw down), above average athleticism, and grit. I think we're gonna see him try to speed things up even more. Personally I love that. It's way more fun to watch & attractive to recruits.

One thing to keep in mind is that since it was a dual highlight reel from a gym they were training at, the gym probably wasn’t going to include video of either of them getting guarded well enough to miss their shot.

Watching some of his senior games that are online, he looks taller 5' 10" now, might be 6'1 if i was guessing
had 40 in this game, but the thing that i was discouraged by is the amount of times he is picked in this game or loses the dribble. the competition is not good and they rip him a couple of times in open court not just when he is trying to dribble thru the whole team.

the last game of his HS career 31 pts. Dante had an up and down game but a real big up later in the game hitting the 3 that sent the game into OT. Looked tired in the 2nd and 4th quarters and OT.

He is one of the most supportive newcomers to the program in my recent memory. How about letting him get on the court and prove his worth before engaging in such negative commentary? They do read these things. It's been confirmed.

I qualified my opinion as it being not what I expected. I think people are taking this no criticism thing because kids come on message boards and don't like reading negative stuff too far. I could see if I questioned him getting a scholarship, I just quipped about this particular game. This wasn't even negative. Next time if someone misses a shot, I will say it almost went in just to be encouraging and positive. We will now classify a turnover as possession incapable.

I guess when you use words like "disappointed" and "competition not good and they rip him," it sounded overly and unnecessarily negative against a player who has made it a point to encourage the fan base about next year with his social media posts. I am not at all worried about him being "strong enough" to withstand your opinion.

I said discouraging not disappointing. Did you watch the game or just policing my comment? He plays on a level maybe even lower than McClung's competition, thats not a dis on his ability to play here, thats just a fact. So when a guy one on one defending him(who will be lucky to play D3) picks his pocket at half court when he is bringing it up, thats discouraging. He had 40 in the game. I mentioned that first so everything I said wasn't bad. I'll say other positives since you didn't want to watch the game he makes his FT's. Hard to judge him other than that because he has to do so much for that team because 3 of the other 4 guys starting wouldn't even be able to get run at Yates or any playground in DC so not much to take from it in terms of projecting for next year or anything.

Seems fast and made some really nice basketball plays. Big East is going to be a jump in opponents intensity and skill. Count me as someone who thinks he could be a really nice player for us if he puts in the work.

Thinking the same thing about his height Dense, looks taller than 5'11", definitely plays taller. He plays the entire game, the ones I've seen anyway and fatigue is evident but has a knack for finishing strong.

Yes, I watched. But, I leave assessments to the staff, who have proven to have an eye for talent and are certainly more qualified than any of us. I usually don't read (let alone comment on) the skill assessments on this board, but was honestly bothered by your post because Dante Harris has been a example of positivity for the program and I did find your word choices a bit harsh -- maybe that was not your intent, but tone can be interpreted many ways in writings. This is my last response to you, as I am not trying to be argumentative. Have a good day.

I think Dante is going to be a good player for the Hoyas. He definitely looks like he has great range on his shot and the team will need shooters this year, and moving forward. He may have a transition period when he has some struggles as he gets used to the size, strength and speed of the Big East compared to his high school competition, but I think he has the athletic ability and skills to make the adjustment and be a major contributor for years to come. I am excited to see how he fits into the team and how he is used by the staff.

Thanks for posting this video. I think his offensive game looks ready. Whatever you do, do not watch him in this game on defense.

Love how the pieces have come together! Great recovery on the part of the coaching staff! Your young players will need time to grow, develop, and gel. But very much love what I am seeing from the cadre of recruits.
