I probably missed this in the prior 25 pages but was Mourning out because of injury or a healthy DNP? It was mentioned twice in game and now this is the 3rd time. Still haven't seen any answer. I didn't even noticed if he was dressed or not. Supposedly Rich Chvotkin mentioned that Mourning was home with the flu.

I don't understand this Jesse hate. He was no worse on defense than the rest of the starters and only he and Pickett played worth a damn on the other side of the ball. It feels like we deflect a lot on this board when our freshman guards the bed! I wanted Jessie AND the backcourt to sit. Guess I was confused about the comment that Govan should have been the last to return to the game. Don't understand how anyone watching the game would have wanted either of our starting guards to return before him. They added nothing last night on either side of the ball besides ill advised shots, turnovers and terrible defense. That game is over and time to try to steal one next week.

I think when they want Georgetown to lose they stick us in the light colored jerseys. I would love to see us in the white or light gray playing on the road. Those blue or blue green jerseys are hideous. I also think playing 3 freshmen who have not had a bye week and have played 30 minutes per game for 2 games each week for the past month. They played many games against sophomores, juniors and seniors including this game. This game we did best while playing our reserve players who are a Junior, a Grad student, a Senior and a Sophomore with either a Senior or a Sophomore starter. I think a week off before the next game is just what this team needs. Still not sure it will be enough against Nova but we're due for another positive surprise!

I can live with open threes- in fact to some extent, I say, really pack it in and let those fly. I hated giving up those layups, though. Back in The Day Don Reid, Big Mike, for goodness sake Zo, and many others would have at least put those punks on their backside and made them earn points from the stripe.

That is something I find bewildering....I think I can count the number of uncontested lay-ups I saw under JTJr. Watch (87-retirement) on one hand. Since JTIII, they happen all the time.

Our colors are (Navy) Blue and Grey...not Black, Teal, etc...to me, very annoying to see these other colors..."c'mon, man!"

Whatever colors elite recruits like Cole Anthony want to wear, I am fine with. Of course, I like the blue & gray, but the players have to like it too.

Adjusted defensive efficiency ranking is 132 after Seton Hall game. By way of comparison it was 119 last year and 81 (worst of his tenure) and 58 in JT3s last two years. The more entertaining up-tempo NBA style of play instituted by Ewing likely requires a higher caliber athlete then we have been able to recruit to get back to those numbers.

I just got around to reading this thread. After seeing the Hoya debacle this past Wednesday night, I went into the laundry room and did my best Homer impression: "D'oh!" Attachment Deleted

Those teal/aqua/aquamarine unis aren't recruiting anyone. I know Nike/Georgetown is trying to make $ by selling alternate jerseys. But who in the hell is buying those things? And to add insult, we aren't even selling them on our site. We only have blue jerseys for sale: shop.guhoyas.com/College_Georgetown_Hoyas_Jerseys

We shall beat Nova a week from today. You heard it here first. Just patting myself on the back for knowing what was up, even in a dark spot. I hope we are all ready to go dancing after winning BET in a few weeks.

If we just showed up with the same effort as tonight then we would be on the top of the bubble. Now back to your regular programming: gloating and delusion!
