I’m legit heartened by the events of the past week. Can we add another guard for 2018 and make some noise next year??

This is a much different team than we saw at the start of the season. The Heart Attack Hoyas 2.0.

The two D's were 18-21. The Hoyas were hot from the field, but not so much from the FT line.

Weirdly, DePaul an St. Johns were only 2 times that we looked worse when facing a team the second time around! Otherwise, clear impprovement, especially lately. Except for depth at PG, we don't look all that different from the top teams in the league right now. Well done coaches and team!

Sick a$$ pass from Derrickson! That was a slick, no look pass from Marcus.

Nice to see Dickerson show far more restraint and showing we have someone with understanding of running the point, to some degree. Need much more of Dickerson playing strained point and good shooting. He really needs to work on three pointers. Great to see Derrickson keep his month (season) of solid play going. Pickett struggled shooting a little tonight, which can happen, but he passed well and his defense really is improving quite a bit. Mulmore (with Dickerson playing point well) made me nervous with the ball in his hands, his defense and FT shooting were nice to have. Mosely showed some good defense and hit 1 of 2 threes he took (it was sweet stroke).
Really need to work on inbounding against the press. Dickerson he knows what to do if he is on the floor against a full court press as the 1st or 2nd pass. Really nice to not see that be the total disaster it was a couple weeks back.
These guys are growing, getting smarter, and playing better.
Patrick lost his tie (darned good thing as the bold stripe on bold check made my head hurt, and made me realize why my mom told me never to do that) and fought for the refs to make the correct call on many occasions. He did less barking at players making boneheaded plays, because it seems like they are learning not to do the boneheaded things as much.
The short of it, I'm really happy for the win.

Didn't see the game (hopefully we get some more games back on FS1 or FS2).
We won.
Go Hoyas!

I guess Patrick can do some coaching. We run really nice stuff for the bigs. Against the Hall he had them driving the ball all the time. Today we ran about five different half court sets. Now the kids made some poor decisions on the press but we gutted it out. And for those projecting this can be a top team next year with some added guard play. Oh by the way, every player on this team has improved a lot this year. Like how about Tre Dickinson? Looked lost early but the last four games has been very good. The future is Blue and Gray

Dude Govan played the worst defensive game tonight in a Georgetown jersey and we still won. Probably because he was in foul trouble most of the 2nd half. The officiating was awful as usual tonight and we needed to have him on the floor on the offensive end.

I"m going to run over to the Recruiting board to see which recruits were so impressed they decided to commit after Rich's 17th "HOYAS WIN". I'm a bit giddy after this one!

Defense isn't a strength of his and never has been, but it has improved a ton yet still a long long way to improve.
