Mitchell......Imagine the arguments we can have on this one.
On one hand, he is the #1 ranked juco player.
On the other hand, Mitchell averaged 2.9 points and 0.7 rebounds as a redshirt freshman in 2016. He played in 25 games and averaged 8.8 minutes at Baylor.
Looks like he could be a litmus test about whether you seen the glass half empty or full.

On the other hand, we know he can play high major ball because Baylor fans were upset he left, he wasn't okay with only 8 minutes a game and he wanted the ball in his hands and he wanted to push himself to a higher profile situation. Oh wait, all of that is a good thing.

Mitchell seems like a pretty good fit. Definitely a scoring guard with solid range (36% from 3) and some wiggle to create space for his shot. Solid assist to turnover ratio, and almost 3 steals per game. Looks like he redshirted at Baylor, so you’re getting a guy that would be a senior age wise for next years team, plus one more year of eligibility. Doesn’t seem to be crazy athletic, but he’s crafty and experienced.

Agreed. He's the only Juco we should be considering and is not Mulmore the sequel. Watch some Andres Feliz tubes. He could help us. That top tier of JUCO guards is dominated by guys that transferred out of high majors or mid majors. The JUCO guy YaBoy was talking about a page back is probably even better than these kids.

I'll check him out. I started looking into the guards and Mitchell just seemed like obviously the best one even before he moved up to #1. I might have Mulmored some prematurely.

I like the fact that he has a year of playing (not as many minutes as he wanted) against legit D1 players in college and we are not trying to determine if the high school competition he is playing against is making it hard to judge how good he can be. The fact that he is a little older may make him more ready to contribute from Day 1. In a perfect world the staff would be recruiting kids from high schools who are ready to play/contribute right away and can give you four years in the program, but there are not that many of those players left at this point in the recruiting cycle so checking all possible alternatives is good to see. Seeing Coach Ewing show up personally, not just an assistant, makes you think the Hoyas are pretty serious about this player

I would like a JUCO like that kid Gray at Houston. That isn't asking too much, is it?
