Good win. Finally just one more snoozer before the real action begins.

Liked the way they closed this one out. Solid 2nd half play other than the illegal screens.
Great that there was no letdown after the emotional loss to Syracuse and no emotional collapse after the drama with Sodom.
It seems to me that Ewing's plan is working so far and the team is in position to maximize it's abilities and steadily improve. Keep it up Hoyas.

One thing I'll say is that Moseley and/or Mulmore HAVE to start showing some range from deep.

Final Thoughts:
Only an 8 man rotation used tonight. Derrickson lead the team with 17 pts, Govan 12pts, Mulmore 12pts
Final Grade A: Gtown won this game by 12 when the were only favored 9.5 The team bounced back from Saturday's loss and was able to close the game out by extending the lead to double digits in the last 2 minutes. At the 1:07 mark the lead was cut down to 8 pts, the Hoyas defense then clamped down and held North Texas scoreless for the reminder of the game. Unlike Saturday the Hoyas were able to avoid letting the game slip away in the final minutes

This was a fun game to watch in person. It felt like there were literally dozens of us in the arena, but from my perch in the 200s I did my best to cheer the Hoyas on.
This game offered a lot of good things. For one, it was an impressive rebound game after a tough, physical loss. The team looked focused and ready from the start. This game was also a chance for us to show something we haven't had much of in recent years-- poise. Unlike many of our early opponents. North Texas made a real run at us. After looking scared for a moment, we quickly resumed focus and made sure we came out with a win. The final couple plays of the first half were the story of the game for me. Making free throws, a steal, and a great defensive stop to ensure we carried a lead back into that locker room.
I think we saw a lot of good from the guards today. Mulmore especially did a little bit of everything. Govan and Derrickson continue to be phenomenal.
This is a good team win. Now let's get Alabama A&M and get ready for league play!

This is the caliber of opponents we shouldve been playing in the OOC. NT showed some of the same weaknesses (I'm looking at you backcourt) but the guys got the win.

One thing I'll say is that Moseley and/or Mulmore HAVE to start showing some range from deep. Not gonna happen. I had held out some hope for Jagan, because his release is pretty simple. But he hasn't shot more than a handful of good looking 3s in 40 games.

I like how Glide boxed out ThisJustIn from the game thread. ThisJustIn wants none of Glide.

Can someone enlighten us about Walker’s (injury, discipline, sickness, etc.)?

The bizarre thing is that now our guards are being given wide open looks. It used to be our bigs who were left alone. Somehow, our guards need to step up or we will have a hard time beating our BE opponents.

Best game so far. I am just going to savor this one. Actually, I am even going to re=watch with a few NH Becks.

Good win, I guess. They're scrappy and when you chuck up 32 threes, you never know what can happen. But they're not any more talented than Richmond - and that's not very.
Let's get this Alabama A&M game in our rear view, and start answering some real questions about the guys on the roster.

Can someone enlighten us about Walker’s (injury, discipline, sickness, etc.)? DNP Coaches decision That's extremely odd giving our lack of depth. I have really like what i have seen from Walker to this point. I think it would be a mistake if Walker is not part of the rotation in some capacit going forward.

Derrickson looks better by the game in terms of how he's moving. I don't know what his health status was coming into the year but, in addition to being in better shape, he generally looks more mobile to me than he did all of last year and from the first several games this year. Hopefully, I'm not just seeing things and that it translates to production. I think having him on the ball when we press is a signal that he's feeling strong and I'm hoping it's also a sign of even better things to come for him.
