I'm sure it's emphasized to those that need to know....the prospects! Why doesn't everyone get to know? Why the secrecy? This is a big part of programs now, read the article on the 1st page of this thread.. Have you ever read a quote from a prospect about him or even say they met him? I don't think it was a secret. Why do fans/alumni need to know this? The only time you broadcast your S&C Coach is if he's new to the program and he's fixing a major weakness of the program. Otherwise... Recruits usually answer questions that they are asked. I'm not sure a reporter has ever asked what they thought about the S & C Coach at Georgetown. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have much to say regarding him anyways since they haven't personally worked with the S&C Coach. The current and former members of the program since 2004 are the ones who would vouch for his abilities along with those in the biz.

I don't think this is true, again read the article that started this thread.. Usually the question asked is "who did you meet/talk with on your visit".. A coach with Hill's credentials should meet with every prospect who steps on campus..

What does the NSCA know about basketball specific training? For most programs, strength coaches are part of the coaching staff and are very visible. I know Kyle Tarp at Maryland and he is one of the best. When recruits visit they always meet with him. He's all over social media.
I'm certainly not questioning the credentials of our guy. I just question how closely they work with the coaching staff. These are supposed to be the guys who players spend most of their time with during the offseason.

Usually the question asked is "who did you meet/talk with on your visit" A coach with Hill's credentials should meet with every prospect who steps on campus..How do you know he doesn't? All this speculation that the program doesn't have or do this is exactly that... speculation. The S&C Coach may lead the athletes on a tour of weight room and other training facilities followed by sitting down and talking with every prospect that visits, or the prospects may stop in and see him at work with members of the team during their visit. I've have attended numerous unofficial and OV with my former student athletes. In every one of the visit we met the S&C Coach in some fashion if they had one on staff. Until Ewing himself says "we never use the S&C Coach for anything", I'm going to assume that Georgetown's S&C Coach is earning his salary. Your argument is now that the Hoyas BBall program should do more to promote the excellent S&C Coach. My response is we have no idea they aren't marketing his abilities to those that it could potentially impact, the recruits. Just because a prospect hasn't raved about it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
