Keep in mind Georgetown already is 1 over the scholarship limit for 21-22, so two players other than the seniors would have to leave (this is counting Carey as playing his 2nd eligible year he came to the Hilltop with as a grad transfer, yes he graduated early with 2 years of eligibility). Understood. Half the board would shiv their mother for another 5*. Not me though. 😅

But there is some bunching up at bigs and forwards and only so many minutes, which leads to frustration and wondering about if things are better elsewhere. But, players winning the BET and going to the dance make sticking around more attractive. This will be interesting to watch no way anything falls.

That lineup can switch alot on defense.

I wonder if our DMV recruiting narrative for players who want to leave DC sets us up for a first look should they change their mind later in their career and want to return to the DMV. If it doesn’t , maybe it should.
I imagine that positioning yourself for future transfers will become increasingly important.

Let's get this guy. A 6'6" guard intrigues me.

Grabbing Timberlake would be a great get. Here's hoping we can make an NCAA run and make coming to the Hoyas even more attractive.

Didn’t like the way he announced he was leaving Miami at his locker after they lost their last game - very bad look. Would much rather have Bile back or ... dare I say...Chet. You know Chet’s Jr teammate (Prince Aligbe) has GU No. 1.

Saw him in WCAC finals. I thought he was the most impressive player on the court that included Dickinson, Roach, Keels, Ward, McDaniel, Hawkins.... He did refer to himself in the third person which is always dubious.

Timberlake is indeed a massive talent, but I don't know much about his character.
With that being said, I saw a clip of Chudier Bile after the BE Championship game and he stated how Ewing will get on you, and then he said it a second time to emphasize that Patrick WILL GET ON YOU. But he does it out of love for his players and to teach. Not everyone will buy into that style of coaching anymore though (unfortunately), and I don't know enough about these Miami kids to say if they have the right make up to take constructive criticism from a coach. Dante and Chudier have the right make up for this, seems like Wahab does as well (though he doesn't really show much emotion). Jahvon likely clashed a bit with Ewing, but he seems to be coming around with his play and attitude in the BET. I love how Jahvon is showing some swagger out there, as he is our best pure scorer.
It sure seems like a lot of Ewing's success with future recruits and transfers is whether or not they can handle that tough love. If Timberlake can, then what a perfect get he would be.

What position would he play? Can he shoot?

Timberlake is a very intriguing prospect. On paper, he’s like a bigger version of Riley. Not a great shooter, but a very good slasher and superb defender who theoretically can guard 1-4.

What position would he play? Can he shoot? He is basically a point forward offensively. He can handle well but he drives recklessly sometimes but he drives to dish alot. He can play 1-4 realistically because he is so built. He is like Justice Winslow of Duke in that regard. His shooting is not great, he has a line drive jumper but he is amazing defensively and can take over a game on that end and on the boards. Forgot to add, Great finisher at the rim like really good.

I've heard Gonzaga and Seton Hall mentioned. I'm sure Hoyas reached out but tbh it's been pretty quiet. I don't think anyone really knows what's going on with him. I'm sure some info will come out shortly.

I'm surprised he hasn't said anything which in our case could mean a good thing. The Gonzaga and Seton Hall rumors that I saw were started by their fans no basis in any sources that I saw.
