Has anything like that ever happened involving a GU basketball student while at GU? Serious question...I am not aware of anything of that nature.

There are rumors of at least one leaving from many years ago that were brushed under the rug and I won't mention a name as it didn't go public. Let's not beat our chest about how great we are for what happened to one player at Creighton. I personally can't vouch for these players and their conduct. Something like that could just as easily happen here as it did in Omaha. Not something to deflect from the under performance of the program to take all this credit for our behavior.

Serious question: what does the action of one student have to do with the coach? Btw it does not speak well of you when you already have condemned him. Seems like you don't believe in innocent until proven guilty.

I did not condemn anyone or mention the coach! I just said that I am glad GU is not dealing with that situation. In fact, I pointed out that I am NOT presuming he is guilty and that the state has the burden of proof. For all I know it could be a complete lie. But it is a terrible situation for the Creighton program.

Maurice Watson's bond was set at $750,000.00. I have no idea about the veracity of the charges, and certainly the state has the burden of proof, but that is some ugly stuff. To me, this scandal totally tarnishes the great season Creighton is having, and I would not trade places with them right now in 750,000 years. 750,000 years! This is where it seems like you're just a troll. You are a puzzle wrapped in an enigma.

Creighton came out forcefully - many programs have handled similar situations much differently. In any case, using this as a way to put a point in JT3's corner is a real stretch.

I would take an under .500 record over sexual assault issues for eternity.

Back in line with the topic, too bad Watson got injured and had the subsequent issue as that was a FF potential team along with Nova. Xavier is really struggling with the Davis & Sumner losses and will get bounced early. Part of the BE problem this year is everybody is good, only one team is potentially great. I guess Butler could get hot and get in but that is about it (to the FF).

Absurd to view us as 4th.

My fear is that we will be picked 9th and finish 7th, but it will be viewed as a good season because we beat expectations.

Watching Nova tonight I kept asking myself (and maybe some of you did too) if we, JT3, would have done as well as Nova did the last few years if we had their players. My answer is no. We probably would have had a much better record but I just don't think guys like Jenkins and Hart would have developed as much under JT3 or JT3 would have gotten as much out of Ochefu. Am I wrong?

Marquette, Providence, and Nova all in the same bracket.
