eagle, may I suggest you post in the Syracuse board about how GU will be playing this Saturday without its best player who left because he wasn't getting the minutes he truly deserved and how that has thrown the team into chaos?

You might need to go back to the G graphic. True. I normally get very excited for season tipoff but found that after last season I was totally disinterested this November. So I've seen about five minutes of action this season and Ike's still #1 in my mind. Maybe an LJ pin as I think he's clearly our best talent.

I was suspicious of the "eye injury", but his body language on the bench seemed pretty positive on TV lately, so this really did catch me off guard. Oh well. Best of luck to you, Ike. Thanks for hitting that 3 against Butler at my little boy's first Hoya game. Priceless memory. I noticed the body language as well. And especially agree on the Butler 3. I had a group of 25+ in town for that game over New Years weekend 2 years ago. Same group last year for the solid win over Marquette. Not that optimistic with X this year.

Not until someone credits me with the LaSalle win. Can we revisit LaSalle after the Syracuse game? It's charma and you know I jinxed that Explorer program with my prediction so just say it and the cuse board will have the post.

I was suspicious of the "eye injury", but his body language on the bench seemed pretty positive on TV lately, so this really did catch me off guard. Except for that shaking No of the head when JT3 asked him something, which was interpreted as you want to play? I didn't catch that in real-time, but I read about it on the board post-game. RT had said on that broadcast (Elon?) that he was practicing with the mask, so maybe he felt (1) he hadn't adjusted well enough to playing with it for game action, and (2) didn't want to get hit in the face without it. When he came out and took a quick 3 in the LaSalle game, I took it as a good sign that Coach had told him to go get involved. But then he was a ghost for the rest of the short time he was on the court. To summarize, I have no idea what was going on, but I am bummed. I really thought I'd see him play well against Syracuse.

Or he was counting minutes vs. medical redshirt?

I think TAS owes me some cash as he lost the bet that he'd never put the mask on and play. Obviously he could have done that but chose not to. Hate to say I'm right again boys but I think I am. Actually, no. Isaac played five minutes without the mask and was pulled because he was a liability. He did play. I win. As for the transfer, I think it's a great idea for Isaac personally. I also hope that he is able to get the medical redshirt as a result of the eye injury. He has a young-ish body and needs to add some muscle and he also has to work out his mechanics and his ball handling. The year off will, hopefully, do him some good. Of course, that's entirely dependent on what he puts into it because, as we've seen, he hasn't added much to his game since he got to college. Maybe this time away helps him to refocus and reevaluate what he wants his basketball career to look like. He's still got time but the window doesn't stay open long. Best of luck to Isaac, wherever he goes. I hope he realizes that there's no substitute for working at it. From day one this season, this was LJ and Pryor's team. Nothing has changed and, sadly, the way Isaac was playing this year, this is probably addition by subtraction in the short-term. In the long-term, for Isaac's sake, I hope we're all shaking our collective head asking, "Why couldn't have been THAT player while he was a Hoya?" I hope Isaac finds a great fit for him and flourishes. I'll be rooting for the guy.

Obviously even our coach realized that wouldn't happen which is why he's off to the mid major.

But technically I said he wouldn't put the mask on for whatever reasons and he didn't do that. I think I was right.
