"it's multiple five/high four-star point guards" There's a difference between having a top ten point guard and a three star, and having two borderline five star point guards. If we had whiffed on waters and signed jamir moultrie then I'd say it wouldn't bother him, but having Tremont along with Tre, Mulmore, and Mosely all there for at least his freshmen year is probably bad news for us. I'm guessing he thinks of himself as a one-and-done type (which he probably is), so having four talent point guards in the roster along side him is just unnecessary competition when he could get 30+ mins per game at any other school at the point from day one. Next year Kansas will likely have this backcourt: Devonte Graham - 4-star, returning starter Malik Newman - 5-star, top 10 overall Lagerald Vick - 4-star Junior Marcus Garrett - 4-star, top 50 '17 recruit ...and if he decides to come back for a 2nd year: Josh Jackson - #1 overall recruit in 2016 And you think Troy Brown is worried about the playing time he would get at GU? Because we have 1 top-50 kid coming in? [ All of those are combo/shooting guards besides Graham, who very well could bounce to the NBA after this year. Mulmore/Tre/Waters are all very much pure point guards (although some people would argue Tre should play off the ball idk if he's tall enough for that in college). Mosley is the only combo guard of that group and even then he fits the JT3 pg mould pretty well. Same situation goes for oregons roster, they have combo/sgs but have time at the one for Brown. This is ignoring the fact that Kansas has shown consistently that they can run the two point guard set pretty well, Self is a master at that. JT3 has yet to show that he can run the ONE point guard set well, let alone two.

Word was out that Tremont was going to be a Hoosier. Nope, almost everybody was saying Georgetown the last 24 hours.

Although signing day isn’t until Wednesday, five-star utility guard Troy Brown will get the week started when he announces his decision at 3:30 p.m. ET Monday. The No. 12 player in the class of 2017, Brown visited Alabama, Georgetown, Kansas, Ohio State and Oregon officially. Headed into the day of his announcement, Oregon and Kansas have been getting the most discussion. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/early-signing-period-top-storylines

It is nice to await a decision without a sense of panic about our class.
That said, not giving up hope. Troy and his family have been pretty quiet during the process, so there is still a chance. He and Tremont together could very quickly switch the narrative about Georgetown guards.

Nice that he is more of a luxury than a need at this point.

Hope for the best, but keep expectations very low.

Hope for the best, but keep expectations very low. Ditto. Will be ecstatic if he were to shock the "experts" and pick us, but not really bothered if he heads elsewhere. But I will still be refreshing around 3:30!
