I'm here at the early game, and Trey Mourning has been the best player on the floor. Doing it all.

That report made me cringe. Marcus Derrickson a lottery pick? Yikes. And I love me some MD.

Derrickson looks super fit. Gotta be at like 240 now.

This may be the wrong thread for this but this exactly why I think some, including myself, were not overjoyed w/Hayes returning. Not at an individual level. I am thrilled for Hayes at a personal level. Doesnt sound like anyone worked harder despite his extreme lack of playing time and by all accounts an extremely amazing attitude through it all. However more Hayes means much less Trey. Personally I think the direction we want to take this offense and this team is much better suited w/a mobile Center like Trey. I was more than comfortable w/him being are backup Center and at the rate Jessie fouled last year, he would have seen important minutes. Now what for Trey? He certainly wont see minutes at the 4. You have to assume Derrickson and Copeland and maybe even Agau see the majority of those minutes if not all of them. If Govan starts, I have a very hard time believing we brought Hayes back not to at least be his back-up if not the starter. So as excited as I am for Trey I feel we heard the same last off-season and nothing has changed in terms of personel at the 5 and I think we are going to see another year of very sporadic minutes and wasted potential.

I think Trey gets 15 minutes a game. Think he'll see some minutes at the 5 when we go small and will see some at the 4 ahead of Akoy.

Due respect to Bradley but it had better be a meritocracy with regard to who gets the most minutes. Fortunately, Bradley has shown himself to be both a competitor and a great team guy. If Bradley earns the minutes, he'll get them. If he doesn't, he'll be a team first guy if the past is any indication. I'm of a similar mind in terms of his returning but a veteran leader on and off the floor should be a net positive.
