Interesting Big East schedule. By the 7th game the Hoyas are done with Providence and Xavier, playing Providence twice within 12 days. By the 9th game they are done with Butler, having yet to play several other teams even once.

CON: Weekday start times at 6:30pm is going to hurt a crowd that already arrives late to begin with. I understand the need for it with the NCAA's insistence on calling a zillion fouls per game to stretch a regulation game well beyond 2 hours, but it's still not ideal. I wonder if FS1 even has a 9pm game after ours that night--it's not a Big East game if they do. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't and they still put ours at 6:30pm to get it (mostly) out of the way of the College Football Playoff championship game.

No real brutal stretches. The 3 games to start and the last 2 games are the hardest stretches. No more than 2 games on the road in a row.

I thought last year we would contend for the BE title and be NCAA lock so tempering expectations a lot this season. I am glad we have a few "cupcakes" as that schedule overall is very challenging so let's not get ahead of ourselves. Why don't we set as a goal 20 wins and an NCAA berth and see where we go from there?

From the GUHoyas.com Schedule release comes this about the McDonough game: I wish the November 30 game (Coppin State) was also at McDonough. It's on November 30, a Wednesday, at 6:30 pm. It has all the makings of terrible Verizon attendance.
