Lol why is there even a thread on him? The chances of him coming here are ZE-RO. Also, an even bigger lol @ that idea that we don't "need" Cole Anthony, the #1 PG in his class, because we will have a sophomore Mac McClung, who is not a PG anyway. YaBoy knows 1000% more than I do about recruiting. If he is hearing that we have a shot, I think I will trust his information, thank you. Lol.

Man I'm getting really sick of Duke just getting any and everybody they want, year in and year out...I'd just love for us to get ONE of these highly rated kids over them...

It's from a few months back but this is a nice piece on Cole: sports.vice.com/en_ca/article/a37gze/cole-anthony-wants-to-revolutionize-basketball-and-play-zelda-the-16-projectCole Anthony Wants to Revolutionize Basketball (And Play Zelda) The son of former NBA player Greg Anthony has limitless talent, uncommon privilege, and an 8 p.m. bedtime. Those are just some of the reasons why he's the best high school point guard in the country. Anthony is nestled near the top of just about every prospect list there is (For the Class of 2019, ESPN currently has him ranked sixth and Rivals.com has him fifth), but instead of worrying about who's in front of him or what schools are rumored to have interest, he instead studies his peers at every position, reading scouting reports and absorbing film to get a solid understanding of those likely to become his friends and foes at the next level. All other elements of the process—contact with college coaches, scheduled visits, etc.—are controlled by his father. "You want to feel good and be proud of the program and all it has to offer, not just on the court but off it," Greg Anthony—who helped shepherd UNLV to a National Championship in 1990—said. "That stuff is really important because that becomes your family. And that's gonna be a part of your family your entire life. So all that stuff will play a role and we'll look more at it as he develops more."

First of all, Cole Anthony has been tremendous this spring. The point guard is arguably the most productive player in the country and even at No. 4, he may be a bit underrated and he’s putting some heat on the big guys - Vernon Carey, James Wiseman and Charles Bassey - that are ranked ahead of him.
As for Anthony’s recruitment, that’s a tough call because he doesn’t really talk about it or go into specifics those times he does. So, I can only go by what I’ve heard and what I see with my own eyes in terms of head coaches paying attention.
I expect Duke, Kansas, Louisville, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oregon, Villanova, Wake Forest and perhaps some others like Pittsburgh or Georgetown to be among those he considers when it comes time to cut things down. When it comes to that cut, I don’t see anything happening all that soon and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Anthony be a player whose recruitment goes into the spring of 2019.

"perhaps some others" is better than nothing.

"perhaps some others" is better than nothing. you have to believe Coach Pat and Greg Anthony have talked at some point.

Cole Anthony, PG/CG, PSA Cardinals When I evaluated Anthony and the Cardinals in the first EYBL session he went off for 29 points. He raised the bar on Sunday at the Boo Williams Sportsplex, dropping what looked like an easy 38 points against Team Final. An explosive athlete, Anthony is difficult to contain off the dribble, and he consistently found his way to the paint for runners or finishes through contact. To go with his array of scores at the rim, Anthony went 5-for-9 from three, including a couple that were well beyond the arc. Anthony is a two-way player that brings energy to both ends of the court. Recruiting: Anthony doesn't have list, but among the schools recruiting him are Duke, North Carolina, Villanova, Oregon, Louisville, Wake Forest, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Michigan, UCLA & Maryland 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Cole-Anthony-Anthony-Harris-among-standouts-at-Nike-EYBL-Hampton-118579672

He’d better not end up at Duke after saying that.

He shouldn't go to Duke based upon his father's oncourt history with that program and K. That would be like if Patrick Ewing Jr had picked Villanova with Rollie Massimino still coaching that program.
