Absolutely a warrior. I agree that we need to roll him into the NCAA's.

every now and then, pryor will go on a shooting streak and amaze us, but i hope none of us forget that peak is undoubtedly our best player and one of the best in the country. i love that kid and hope he does whatever is best for him and his family after this year. maybe that means entering the draft, trying out the NBA, and if he fails, going overseas to make money. or maybe that means putting all of that on hold for one more year so that he can get his degree. this kid seems to bring it every game, and i assume that translates to other facets of his life as well. i dont see any lack of motivation being a problem for LJ, regardless of what his post-gtown career holds. if this really is his last year as a hoya, i hope we can give him a better sendoff than we gave markel, DSR, and other hoyas who deserved more on the court in their final year here. Call me an unsentimental SOB but I hope HE DOESN'T do what's best for him but rather what's best for the bball program. Stay that extra year like Hart and Jenkins and not only get your degree but with Waters nest year make our program relevant again. That money, and maybe more, will still be there in 2018.

Best case: the Hoyas have a surge that gets them into the NCAAs. He shines and draws attention to himself. That lands him a spot in the draft.
It is far more likely that he does not project as a solid draft pick. In that case, it may be that his self-interest aligns with ours. If he jumps, he ends up in Europe for a year. While the money may be something his family needs, it may not be the best alternative if he wants to avoid separation. Life as a Euro player is tough. It takes a while to get established and there's a big difference between finding a spot in western Europe and elsewhere. For that reason, I think there is a good chance he stays.
Besides, I think his relationship with his coach is solid. I'm reading tea leaves like all of you, but he really does seem to listen and benefit from the coaching here.

Peak could be the next Jimmy Butler - a type of player who continues to make improvements. Similar level of athleticism and size.
Wonder how he would have fared if he were at Duke/Kentucky/Kansas - do you think he would still start there?

Love both, but Pryor > Peak. Pryor may be a more explosive scorer. But Peak is a better player.

Agree 100%. He's our best player. Brings it every damn night. And also agree that he has to make the best decision for he and his family. Selfishly want him back but I'll support him no matter what he decides. One of my favorites all-time

Pryor may be a more explosive scorer. But Peak is a better player. Beat me to it. My sentiments exactly. To me, LJ is the better player on the whole but they're sort of apples and oranges. I think they both have the potential to grow a lot as players even with as good as each of them are at certain facets of the game right now. I'm excited to see what sort of player LJ is when he's the age that Pryor is right now. Conversely, I'd have loved to have seen where Pryor would be right now if his health hadn't failed him and he'd been able to play at a higher level from the time he was 18/19. I feel like the skills that Pryor does have (shooting, creating space, athleticism) are impressive enough to get him a look by some teams at the next level even given his "advanced" age even though some parts of his game (defense especially) are below where he should be. LJ doesn't have an elite skill yet but he's good to really good at so many things and his potential is so apparent that he's got a very real shot at the next level if his improvement continues at his current rate. He gets better, week by week, at nearly everything. And, each off-season, he's improved his body. He's very clearly putting in the work and it's paying off for him. In a vacuum, if he were to stay for his senior year and continue to progress as he has so far, I'd expect him to go in the first round at a minimum. I'm sure many of us will beat the heck out of this comparison when the season is over (guaranteed they'll be mentioned often in coaching discussions, regardless) but, for now, I'm enjoying watching them working together and getting the other good looks. For guys that each have very real reasons to boost their own stats, they very much seem to be looking out for the other on offense. I really wish we had more than 1 year of the two of them together with an additional year of experience for our PGs with Waters in the wings.

Love that shot. It's almost enough to make me change my avatar but I can't abandon the one I've had since early in his freshman year. I hope I don't have to change it for at least 15 months.

LJ has turned himself into a really good player with hard work over the last few years. It is great to see him enjoying the success he deserves. Seems to be a class kid, who shows that you can play really hard all the time and do it the right way, without getting in opponents faces and beating your chest to make it all about himself. A real example of how more young players should act on the floor.
