Why can't the program post accurate/correct weights for the players? How hard is it to have the team step on a scale and a student manager jot down the number? Every kid ends in a 5 or a 0.. And this impacts you how?

You're right, I should have used a semi-colon instead of a period. We're in fine form today folks! Keep up the good work.

And this impacts you how? It prevents me from seeing the teams true weights obviously.. It'll also cause fans to hear announcers and analysts quote bogus numbers during broadcasts.. Copeland weighed in @ 198 at the Lebron camp this summer, he's now listed at 220.. Derrickson was lauded for dropping 40+ pounds which got him in the 230's, he's listed at 250 now.. In the end is it a big deal? No.. But to me its such a simple thing why not get it right?

Johnny, I think Ochefu could be a tough cover but probably will be for most of the conference. Another overrated Nova big man. He's not particularly great and we always seem to shut him down, but versus the rest of the conference, he was really effective last year. I'd kill for an Echefu the last few years -- someone who makes the shots he should, defends, rebounds, doesn't foul and doesn't turn the ball over at an insane rate. He's a dude who is good at a lot, bad at nothing, and he was probably the most effective big in the BE last year.

Isn't he a terrible FT shooter or am I just mindfacting 70%. Sure you're not thinking of Onuaku? He shot 65% from the field, 70% from the line, got fouled a lot. Had the 27th best offensive rebounding % and 8th best defensive rebounding % in basketball. He only played 60% of available minutes, though, and not because of foul trouble. Now that 65% is pretty dependent on good feeds, etc. It's not like he's Shaq down there. But we didn't ask much of Mikael and he shot 44%, so it's still a great advantage. He's a very good to great rebounding. He was a good defender. What's not to like? If Govan gives us what Ochefu gives Nova (and a few more minutes), we could be Final Four bound.

I just realize I think it was the Seton Hall game last year they lost he was terrible that game.

whiteandbluereview.com/analyzing-the-big-east-non-conference-schedules/Analyzing The Big East Non-Conference Schedules #1 Georgetown MTE/Exempt Tourney: 2K Sports Classic (open vs. Wisconsin) Key Games: @ Maryland, Syracuse, @ UConn RPI Killers (250+): Brown, UNC-Asheville I have always thought that for the Big East to be relevant and recognized year to year, Georgetown has to be successful. With the non-conference schedule that JT III has lined up for this season, it is going to give Georgetown a great opportunity to be the face of the Big East once again as they face some former rivals. Even better for their fans: with the beginning of a four-year series with Syracuse and a home-home series against UConn, Georgetown gets to reignite the storied rivalries that those teams had in the old Big East. That would be worth the price of admission alone. But it gets even better. The Hoyas essentially open the season against an even bigger rival: Maryland. Although only a few miles apart, this will be only their fourth meeting since 1980. They also made this a home-home series in conjunction with the brand new Gavitt Games series between the Big East and the Big Ten. But before all of that happens, Georgetown makes a trip to New York for an exempt tourney opening against Wisconsin and a possible game against defending NCAA champion Duke. The rest of the schedule has a lot of opponents in the 150-175 range, but thankfully the RPI killer games with Brown and UNC-Asheville won’t really have an effect with this schedule Georgetown has put together. This team will definitely be battle tested for the Big East conference slate with their road games against top competition.

This team will definitely be battle tested for the Big East conference slate with their road games against top competition. Obviously the staff has done a great job in OOC schedule this season. The upcoming schedule on paper, is tougher then last years schedule especially if we play Duke in 2K Championship. I like the 3 true road games at Twerps, Conn. and Charlotte (Charlotte was moved off campus to NBA arena because of seating demand). We play a full 31 regular season games versus the 29 we played last season. My only complaint is that I wish we played one more OOC RPI top 100 home game this season. I know the staff had a tough job this season scheduling. It would be difficult to get any HM school come play us at home without a return visit next year. That would be extremely difficult to do because that would make next years OOC schedule crazy difficult with the Maui Invitational, @ sorryuse, @ Kansas with home games with Conn. and Twerps. Adding another true road game at an RPI Top 100 school to that schedule would make our OOC schedule ridiculously tough. Maybe the best situation would have been a 3 game series with a top 100 school where we play a home and home series with a neutral site game sandwiched in between but that would be very difficult to find a school to agree to make it happen and then find an open date for each school. If it is possible, the first school that comes to mind that fits this profile is Pitt (if they are still a top 100 RPI program). The neutral site could be MSG where both schools having very strong alumni bases. I feel like one more RPI top 100 school to our schedule takes less pressure on the need of the entire conference to have a strong OOC RPI schedule and the need for the all BIG EAST schools to succeed to artificially boost our numbers. Last year it worked in our favor as the entire conference scheduled pretty well and had a strong OOC winning %. This season BE schools outside of us and Villanova haven't schedule as tough as last season. For example Marquette's OOC schedule this season is absolutely pathetic and will bring down the numbers of the entire conference especially if they lose a game or 2 to these cupcakes.

Wow how are we not even ranked in their poll! I know it doesn't matter because we will be ranked in the top 10 after the first week of the season and Preseason Polls aren't worth the paper they are written on. It seems to me that we are being slept on by a lot of these preseason polls. Will make the climb to the top even sweeter!!!
