The years go by very fast as you get older, but it seems like yesterday when they were freshmen and now they are in their graduation gowns.

Good read. The author really logged some time studying film. I didn't realize Tre struggled as much on d as the author argues but the film is convincing. I think he has a lot of potential on defense however... nowhere close to his ceiling.

Great article. Author clearly did a lot of homework. I think it reinforces a lot of the sentiments shared around here - that Tre is already a pretty good offensive player with a high ceiling and he has a lot of work to do on the defensive end, particularly in the half court. He looked ok at times manning the top of the press, but on the whole, his halfcourt D left much to be desired. For as quick as he is in a straight line, his lateral quickness is lacking pretty severely. Hopefully we see improvement on that end this season.

I wish he would back up his claims with evidence {sarcasm}

Agau weighs less than I'd hope for him to play the 5. No big deal, I'm getting more excited about Bradley anyway.

Why can't the program post accurate/correct weights for the players? How hard is it to have the team step on a scale and a student manager jot down the number? Every kid ends in a 5 or a 0..

That wasn't my point, I'm not saying he is "too light", I was saying I just wish he weighed more. Notice the part where I say "no big deal?" That means its not a big deal. As far as BE centers: Adonis De La Rosa is the biggest at 322 but most team's are around 250-260.

Johnny, I think Ochefu could be a tough cover but probably will be for most of the conference. Who knows what we will see out of the Ellenson kid from Marquette. Reynolds from Xavier would be tough. The other six teams I think your point holds though.

I get the idea, but Jessie and Bradley are big boys -- and Agau isn't our full-time center. We'll match up fine against almost any college frontcourt.
With the presumed depth we're gonna have up front, we should be able to play a variety of combinations against big, quicker/athletic, or smaller lineups.

I just think defending is generally more about skill and instincts than it is weight. 6'8" 235 is plenty big to defend the 5 in the BE as long as he has the necessary skill set.
For comparison, Mikael was listed at 6'9" 239.

With all due respect considering where your comma was placed it would suggest your "no big deal" was more about Bradley Hayes being able to hold things down rather than any confidence you had in Agau. Also why would you expect or even want a 6-8 guy who is a forward to weigh any more than he does right now? His mobility and quickness may be his strength and that would be affected negatively with extra pounds.

The reason I would want him to weigh more is because people have been penciling him in as a backup 5 or bruiser 4 where an extra 10-15lbs wouldn't hurt. I'm sure he'll be fine at his weight though, extra lbs could be detrimental too.

Doesn't seem a big deal to round the weight a couple of pounds. Weights fluctuate that much as the season goes on anyway. Now if they start rounding off the height by a couple of inches . .
