Dekker, for whatever reason, did not show up tonight. Wisconsin cannot win when that happens. Dekker was done after he got elbowed by Okafor. Looks like he had a concussion. Gossear got poked in the eye early and Koening got elbowed in the face that forced Tavean Jackson to play more than normal and he was an absolute disaster the whole game and especially when they were up 9.

True. But no matter what the game, teams have scoring droughts. It's just the game. The question is are G'town's longer or more pronounced? I think they are/have been.. Maybe next season's team will be different.. I thought before the past season started, that with our talented freshmen, long scoring lapses wouldn't be the case, but they were inconsistent, and never fired on all cylinders -- we pretty much won if two of them were "on" -- can you imagine if they were all playing well at the same time? I think with the middle unclogged and with more experience, the scoring droughts will be much fewer and shorter next year. We will have other things that might torture us (rebounding, defense), but I think our offense is going to look mighty pretty, especially if we can get decent play in the post from NEXT year's frosh and/or Hayes at times.

Dekker was off before that and that sealed it. Jackson was an unmitigated disaster, especially because he tried to play hero ball as he was giving the ball away to Duke.

I thought the game turned right at the beg on the second half. Duke went in and got a lot of fouls. Actually thought they were mostly called right too.
That and decker after being a beast the other night was terrible. Could make a shot outside five feet.

Let's be honest either team would have dominated Georgetown tonight.

No kidding-as a basketball fan I really enjoyed the game, as a Gtwn fan a bit down as it seems were really pretty far away from competing at a championship contending level.

The question is are G'town's longer or more pronounced? I think they are/have been.. Maybe next season's team will be different.. Man, I have no idea. Every team has scoring droughts at times. As far as tonight's teams, the reason theirs are less frequent is because both teams were a lot better offensively than us. On KenPom.com, Wisconsin is the #1 ranked offense. Duke is #3. Georgetown was #31.

Both teams played at a top level. Sure one or two kids had an off night but as a team they both played really well. The precision on offense and the focus on defense was great. Really a great game of basketball. I love our Hoyas but we had only one game where we showed anything close to that this season and that was the Nova game, which gets discounted cause Nova played like they were in the NCAA tournament.

Let's be honest either team would have dominated Georgetown tonight. Depends on which Hoya team showed up: Jekyll or Hyde?

Or what is it that JT3 says, something like that they are not freshmen by the second semester?

Let's be honest either team would have dominated Georgetown tonight. We almost beat Wisconsin early in the season because they couldn't guard DSR any better than they guarded Jones or Allen. We benefited from them missing shots but so did Duke.

Damn. I was going to bet Wisconsin too. Also the total is at 140, I am taking the over. I hope that you are not a professional gambler. You would be broke!

That is so iffy. I did not bet the game. I did not have a feel either way. I did take Duke over MSU minus the points and I bet Wisconsin on the money line on Saturday so I made some nice money then.

I did take Duke over MSU minus the points and I bet Wisconsin on the money line on Saturday so I made some nice money then. All 4 of my Final Four teams made it, then at the Final Four the wheels came off on my predictions. Even though I picked Kentucky over Wisconsin, I took the points and that ended up being the only game I won against the spread during the Final Four.
