Another signature Pat Driscoll play: spend 5 minutes looking at the monitor and make the wrong call. The refs are not worthy of the players in this game. Wisc-UK semi was the same.

This Final Four has had some bad officiating...the refs go to the replay and in super-slow motion you can see the ball go off of Winslow's finger tips and the refs come back and say they cannot tell who the ball last touched.

JTIII would be getting killed right now for not using a timeout to disrupt Duke's run...

This is a good game. Both teams have had scoring droughts, just like the Hoyas had. Contrary to popular belief, it's not that uncommon. Hard to compare a championship game between high level team to G'town getting shutdown by Xavier or Providence imo..

Dekker, for whatever reason, did not show up tonight. Wisconsin cannot win when that happens.

FINAL SCORE National Championship Game at Indianapolis IN: South #1 Duke 68, West #1 Wisconsin 63
And now we get the Duke/Coach K slurpfest.

Dekker, for whatever reason, did not show up tonight. Wisconsin cannot win when that happens. Was saying that all game. He was awful. A total liability out there. On another note, I don't buy in to the conspiracy theories, but man Duke gets calls go their way. Only 5 fouls with 2 minutes left? Really? Winslow, himself, should have been called for at least 3 fouls in the second half. Like I said, I don't think there is any great conspiracy. I guess part of it has to be attributable to Coach K just really knowing how to work the refs.

And yet another year I will not make it to One Shining Moment. As my hate for college basketball grows a tiny bit stronger.

JTIII would be getting killed right now for not using a timeout to disrupt Duke's run... Ha. To be honest, Ryan will hear it for that. He left 3 timeouts on the table I think. I'm not a big TO guy, but I think you should use them when your team looks spent during a run, and they looked it. Coach K outcoached him by a mile, IMO.

Pat Driscoll crews quite often swing foul calls like that all the time: it happened in at least 2 Hoyas games I attended this year where one team got called for few fouls in the first half and it flipped in the second. I don't think there's any great conspiracy theory either but it's a repeating pattern of inconsistency in calling games.

The Dwyane Wade drive to the basket and throw yourself at the defender for the foul call has been perfected by Duke's guards. Somehow I don't think we'll hear all the handwringing about Coach K's 1-and-dones as we will about Coach Cal's.

It's just the game. The question is are G'town's longer or more pronounced? I think they are/have been.. Maybe next season's team will be different..

I guess part of it has to be attributable to Coach K just really knowing how to work the refs. Wisconsin had like 2 fouls in the first half, and the dominant storyline of this game in an alternate universe where Grayson Allen isn't a thing could've been Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow neutralized by foul trouble. The foul totals don't always have to even out--sometimes teams play better D or attack differently. Long as officials get most of the calls right and...yeah, it's the end of the season, I'm not gonna stretch any more, there were some puzzling calls throughout. The UK-Wisconsin game and tonight's game were darn good in their own right, you just wish for once there wouldn't be even a hint of wondering about late calls. I think they were right not to change the OOB call on the replay, but you should catch the other one, and the block/charge issue is just diabolical. Oh well, to the NBA playoffs I guess
