A 6 in the south with MD as the 3 and whatever ACC team they decide to give the 1 to.

Pointless thread. We'll see tomorrow. Says the guy who was obsessing about facing Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen. I merely wanted to go on-record that we won't be a 6.

Should be a 5 but to mix it up I'll say we get a 6 seed with Temple and Maryland on our path to the 16.

I think we'll be a 5 seed too. It's not like any of the other 4-6s are doing much to separate themselves. Think we are firmly behind UNC, but are there any other surprises? I suppose Xavier can come out of nowhere if they win tonight.

I feel like Lunardi has us underseeded as a 6 Every analytic indicator (RPI, BPI, Sagarin, KenPom) has us between 21-24. This is actually really rare but puts us squarely as a 6 seed

That team that gets that 5 seed will be a team much like us that thinks it has a shot at making a run and dreams of a final four. When that team sees that wall of blue in there face that dream will be over pretty quick. Again just my opinion sir.

As long as we are not a 7 seed, we shouldnt really care. It would really suck if we had to play basically a toss up in the first round and then a team like Arizona or gonzaga in the second round.

This is exactly what I was thinking. There is a clear difference in quality between the top 7 or 8 (if you want to count Gonzaga) teams and the teams that will end up being three seeds. Some of the possible three seeds are very beatable (Maryland, Iowa St., Oklahoma, Baylor). Depending on the outcome of the ACC tournament, ND or UNC will be in there. Those two would probably be our worst match-ups given personnel, but still very flawed teams. I'm happy with either a 5 or 6. I'm most worried about a match-up problem in the "second" round against an 11 or 12 seed. I certainly don't want to play any team that plays in the "opening" round and has an NCAA win and some confidence already under its belt.

JTIII himself and every member of the fan base would sign up right this second for a tournament run that ends with a blowout loss to Kentucky, because by definition that cannot come until the Sweet Sixteen (as a 5 seed) or Elite 8 (as a 6 seed).

5 seed out West with 90% of America picking the upset against BYU. Winner faces Oklahoma.
When I go through the potential 3 and 4 seeds it is really the individual team/match up that will matter (no surprise) than seed.

If there is a just higher being... A 6 with a bad SEC team like Ole Miss or LSU as our 11 and Maryland as our 3.

They are already the media darlings of this tournament.

Just saw our rpi is now 25 and sos 11. That might put us on the 6 line. But 5 is still my gut of where we will be.
