Hoyas a 5 facing 12 Stephen F Austin with #4 Northern Iowa waiting in the wings. Starting to think we will be a 6 slotted behind Arkansas and SMU.

I'm will be scared to death over whoever it is we play. I'm not even going to look ahead as to who the top 3 seeds are in our region just bc we need to focus on winning the first. Maybe I'm being too cynical but hearing people talk on here about how they would welcome an Ole Miss or LSU bc of their wild inconsistency makes me wonder if these people have watched us play this year. Yes, we have no bad losses, but by all accounts we have been pretty darn inconsistent. Look at the Xavier game from Friday night. Great to start, terrible in between and then we finished strong but just fell short. The whole season we've looked really good at times and then had 10 minutes without a field goal at times. I just don't know which team will show up on Thursday/Friday. I'm praying it's the former, because we really do have the pieces to make a run this year if all things are clicking, but I also thought the same in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. It's all about our energy in the first 5-10 minutes on Thursday/Friday. Let's hope everyone's focused and ready to play. Hoya Saxa Understood. But think about it this way, and I admit I don't have all the facts, but I would figure that the reason you see a lot of 12-5 upsets is because of what I was saying. It's not because of the last team in, it's because of teams like Murray St, ND ST, SD ST, Valpo, SFA, that are actually pretty good and under seeded. That's my only point. There will always be worry about a team we would play

I think at this point we have more chance at being a 7 than a 5. If VCU, Mich ST and SMU win, you could make a case for all of them getting a better seed than us. I still believe are resume is ahead of VCU and Mich State and we'll more than likely get a 6, but with the committee, you never know.

There is a 80% chance we are a 6 seed. In my opinion, we are not one of the top 20 teams... The worst possible thing would be to play an 11 who already played a game.. We all know this but it's worth repeating... I don't see this year being any different in terms of unsuccessful postseasons... Refs tend to call games tight in the tourney and I can see Smith and Hopkins getting in foul trouble...If that happens and we have to settle for jumpers, it won't be pretty... Teams will clamp down on DSR and force guys like Trawick and Peak to shoot... Ouch

Still feeling a 5.

Yeah, I think it would be a pretty big kick in the you-know-what to us and the BE if we were a 7 seed.

Yeah, I think it would be a pretty big kick in the you-know-what to us and the BE if we were a 7 seed. The problem is, the rules around travel and the such have taken priority over seeding. We could be a 6 on the seed curve and drop to a seven simply because of travel times.

I want everybody on this board to promise to ONLY focus on the first game and not what opponent we would be matched again should we win the first one.

I want everybody on this board to promise to ONLY focus on the first game and not what opponent we would be matched again should we win the first one. That's not much fun. If we only get one more this season at least let people dream this week. At this point we are all aware how difficult it is to win that first game, I think we can have some fun speculating other matchups for our last week of the season.

As indicated previously, I am a horrendous pu****y this time of year. I will DVR the first game and not watch unless we have won. It is probable I would watch game 2 live...in the unlikely event it occurs! You guys are so weird. Just watch the game and hope for a deep run. This is what it's all about. It's march madness!! Fill out your bracket, call out sick Thursday and Friday, drink some brews, and before the night is over dominate your woman like your the dictator of your own home. Just hope your woman is not reading this...

Would it surprise anyone if uconn wins for us to get them in a 6 v 11 game. The story lines practically write themselves. Nope, not at all. And then I will swiftly set myself on fire. Because I don't want any part in contributing to another miracle run for them. Poor sleepy. You should try antidepressants.

Yeah, I think it would be a pretty big kick in the you-know-what to us and the BE if we were a 7 seed. It definitely would be a kick in the gut. The one team that everybody has as a 5 seed that i think the Hoyas have a case against is Utah. They are like the Hoyas in that they have no bad losses but they don't have as many good wins and played in a lower rated conference. They beat Wichita State and then have a decent number of good wins. Why are they a 5 seed in every bracketology?

Guys we should all just sit here and smile. It shouldn't matter what happens in the tourney as we are in and Cuse and UConn aren't!!!

Ding dong the dog is dead! The cuse is juiced! The Hoyas live! We could be playing Kentucky in the first round or Davidson in North Carolina again or anyone at this point is actually pretty scary, but I don't care. This is the best March since 2007 already no matter what the heck happens this week!
