My God. Hayes? When you say "it can't get no worse," oh yes it can.

I think it's safe to say that the problem with this year's team is not that Bradley Hayes isn't getting more time.

Is there a point at which JT3's seat could get warm?
When Georgetown falls below the level of making the NIT's on a consistent basis or a basketball team scandal.
Otherwise JTIII's seat will get as warm as a blizzard in Antarctica.

I don't want to say the wrong and get booted. My frustration is the team losing the same way. I think JTIII Xs and Os are great. Out side of pick roll, I think how he teaches the game is excellent. But there has been 2 consistent recipes for the team losses over the JTIII Tenure; 1) Committing tons of stupid foul and allowing the other team to take free throws early in the half. 2) Tons of stupid turnover. And this year they add a new one; 1) Transition defense. It doesn't seem that when the team is not executing JTIII has ability to make adjustments on the fly. It seems like he just Stand and watch. I also feel his player rotation leaves a lot to be desired. Hayes should get more time than they do. It can't get no worse. Let them gain there confidence like he allows other. Simms and Vee fall under the same category when they was on the team. Over the last 5 years, JTIII favorite players are not getting better and adding to there game. Nate turns the team into 5 on 4 when they are on offence; Vaughn stunk down the stretch his senior Year; Josh play is uninspired. But hey when you are on JTIII good side, you get to play with no accountability. This has turned into a pattern The last part of this is ridiculous unless you mean that 3's "favorite" players are the ones that are best able to give valuable minutes which, of course, isn't what you're saying. Hayes would get zero minutes if Joshua could stay on the floor. The minutes Bradley has gotten haven't been because he's been a solid contributor. People point out that Hop and Joshua have their limitations on one side of the floor. To compensate for that, we should plug in a guy that has issues on both ends?

No. This team is suppose to beat Seton Hall. They let a 20 point lead get away. You think they can do this Tourney and win. No. Both halves they had fouls before the Under 12 minute timeout. Seton Hall just played. I will say they was patient on the offensive end. When they run their offense patiently, there is none better. So quit being stupid and run the offense. Quit taking bad quick shots as JTIII commented @ the half. And JTIII, if you watching them take bad quick shots, Call a timeout and tell them to stop. If they don't, sit them.

Wow. 19 point victory against Seton Hall (A team that beat Villanova) in a critical game and you have nothing positive to say and are angry and heated. There is no pleasing you. It's almost as if you are not happy about this victory.

I just don't like when the team under achieves. They can not get out of the first round playing like they have been playing. Those losses are so heartbreaking because you have to wait for a whole summer and fall to really forget the lost. I hate those first round losses. :-) And the thing I really hate is that JTIII offense is so sweet a pretty when its ran properly.

Let's return to planet Earth: does anyone seriously believe that the university would even consider canning JTIII as they are launching a new athletic facility named for his father and which JTIII pushed for himself? He gets at least another five years for that alone unless he commits a felony or has a disastrous record (which for some on this board would be the same thing).

Let's talk about whether there is a point at which III should be considered for a) a contract extension, b) title of Coach for Life and c) canonization. I mean, as long as we're in lala land, we might as well be in positive lala land, right?

I do not believe that this thread should be closed out. After a loss if posters want to voice their displeasure, they can come to this thread. The season has ebbs and flows, peaks and valleys.
In following this thread it reflects the season wins and losses.. When the Hoyas win, JTIII supporters come to this thread to show support. When the Hoyas lose, JTIII critics come to this thread to show their displeasure. Seems like a good balance.
If there is only one perspective (you can go to the main page and read DFW's game recap), then there is no debate or even a reason for a message board?

This thread is stupid. But it shouldn't be closed. Agreed. If someone wants to start a blog for outright Hoya Haters, they are free to do so. This thread has no place on hoyatalk however. Hoping mods will intervene.

Not to endorse any of the individual grievances but I would make book that JT III himself would agree that there is a point (no we are not there now) where this question can legitimately be raised about any coach.

Ever notice how he habitually refuses to accept the premise (now matter how inoffensive) of a post-game interviewer's question?
I-"How would you characterize the play of the Freshmen"? III- "Th Th They're not freshmen anymore".
I- "That defense was really smothering" III- "I I It started with our offense"

III- "Th Th They're not freshmen anymore". I- "That defense was really smothering" III- "I I It started with our offense" I guess if you cherry pick questions, you could pretty much make any case you like. Every year JT3 has said that, once a certain time of year rolls around, he no longer views freshmen as freshmen and just as guys on the team. Yet reporters keep phrasing the question that way. If they asked specifically about the guys they want to know about, they'd get a different answer. How long could one go on about 4 players? It's a stupid question. The second one isn't a question. It's a statement. One would either agree or disagree with the statement. An informed/experienced reporter would know to ask, "What, if anything, did you like about your defense?" or something more along those lines. At least that's a question that isn't offering the reporter's opinion. No one cares about a reporter's opinion.
