Interesting aside on Charlotte/College of Charleston game: Canyon Barry of College of Charleston is youngest son of Rick Barry. A mere 25 years or so after his older (half) brother Scooter played at Kansas (a recent opponent played outside of Atlantis who may end up slightly superior to this Charlotte club).

My wife and I went to see the Portland (our son's alma mater) vs UNLV. Heart attack game as UP, winning most of the game, eight points up late, only to throw away the in bound pass with 17 s to go and up 2. Of course, UNLV scored with 0.1 s left to force OT. We left at that point, because I know what would happen, and it did, this time UNLV scoring with the score tied and no time left. UNLV has big games vs Utah and Arizona coming up. I think two to the loss column for them.

Seton Hall up 45-33 on USF at the half from the Sun Dome. Orlando Antigua picking up where Stan Heath left off.
Also, I have to say, those #AmericanRising commercials about the AAC are just sad.
Isaiah Whitehead is going to be A Problem.

Seton Hall isn't going to get the kind of out of conference wins to get on the national radar, but I am not looking forward to playing them at all. They're legit.

Virginia defeats Cleveland State, 70-54.
Duke leads Connecticut at the half, 30-25, in the Meadowlands.
Seton Hall leads South Florida, 89-64, with about 1:30 left in the second half. Whitehead only has 10 points. . .but he is the real deal.

DePaul falls to Oregon State (projected to finish last in the Pac 12 this season), 90-59. The Blue Demons got killed on the boards and never led in the game. How did these guys ever beat Stanford?

I was not impressed by Duke last night. If UCONN had shot the ball well they could have easily won that game.

St. Mary's leads a very cold shooting St. John's squad 24-14, with 3:35 left in the first half at Carnesseca Arena in Jamaica NY.
Eastern Kentucky leads Miami 25-20, with 2:53 left in the first half at Coral Gables FL. Hurricanes not much hotter than the Red Storm so far.
