No Ivy League shocker today. Final in Charlottesville VA: Virginia 76, Harvard 27. The Crimson trailed at the half, 39-8, and only shot 16.0% from the field for the entire game; the Cavaliers shot 59.6% from the field.

Questionable scheduling this pre-conference season by the Bluejays.

Final scores:
North Texas 62, Creighton 58. The Mean Green actually had a 27 point scone half lead, and allowed Creighton to close to 57-55 with over a minute left. The Bluejays then missed four three-point shots in a futile attempt to tie the game. Not a good loss for the Big East Conference.
Maryland 73, Oklahoma State 64. Good win in a tough road location for UMCP.
Radford 74, Cornell 61. The Highlanders overcame a halftime deficit, and won going away.
One last GOI on the schedule: Seton Hall at Georgia. Good test for the Pirates.

Why exactly is Creighton playing at North Texas? Didn't even notice it, though it's going to draw flies against exams and the Cowboys-Colts game. The Eagles get little or no local coverage in basketball, even though they have one of the nicer facilities--not bad considering it was built in 1973.

Turning into a bad day for the Big East. At the half in Athens GA, Seton Hall trails Georgia 41-22. The Pirates are shooting 32.3% from the field, and have missed all four of their foul shots so far.

Seton Hall loses, 65-47, to Georgia in Athens GA. The Hall shot a scintillating 29.6% from the field for the game. They could have stayed home and have gotten the same end result.

Is it too late to switch opponents and have UCLA play Harvard and Kentucky play Virginia? Postscript: Way to go, Nova!
