Impressive second half for the Johnnies. They held St. Mary's to 14 second half points, and win 53-47. That should move them up the rankings.
Eastern Kentucky probably knocked Miami out of the AP Top 25, holding the Hurricanes scoreless for over eight minutes in the second half en route to a 72-44 win.

Marquette, with all eight players seeing playing time, cruised over Alabama A&M, 83-49 at the Al in Milwaukee; MU shot 61.2% from the field, which isn't hard to do when a team is fast breaking for layups the majority of the time.
Creighton defeated Texas Pan American, 75-60, in Omaha.

Anyone complaining about our non-conference lineup should keep in mind who our conference-mates are playing. Creighton, meanwhile, hosted a school whose current student body is at war with its administration over their proposed future name and mascot. If you thought DFW was being peevish over the phaseout of various stereotypical Native American mascots at colleges, just get a load of happenings at - what is for the time being - UTPA.

Montrez Harrell got tossed for throwing a punch in the Louisville-Western Kentucky game. He had half of their points. Cards up 5 at the half.
