I consider him our most important player because when he is playing well, the Hoyas are much tougher to beat. DSR is going to be there and is our most outstanding player, Josh is a force but inconsistent, if Cope can become consistently good he takes this team to another level because of all the different things he can do. It is an exciting development to see that his potential has started to become production!
Isn't it great to play 5-on-5 for a change?! Keep it up, guys!
There’s a saying in the college basketball world that teams play like the coaches that lead them. This will be true of Georgetown under Cooley’s staff as well. “Discipline is a staple. Toughness, energy, connection, and enthusiasm. Those things will also be staples of our organization,” he said.

That jumper of his is so much better than advertised. Wow. Very smooth for a player of his size and youth. Even the ones he misses seem to come off the rim soft.
Vary excited. In November/December he was barely getting off the pine. Crazy.
Is there a point this season where he could become our best/most important player? If he keeps up this rate of growth game to game I think he could get close.
I think he could be, but sometimes I think people also forget how good and consistent DSR is.
Didn't mean that as a slight to DSR at all, he's been great this year. I'm just amazed at Ike's progression over the past few months. And DSR's play is the only reason I think that Ike couldn't do it.

How does this not have every like plus some more likes? That dunk was ridiculous. I love how the Johnnies wanted no part of being on a poster because that dunk was going down regardless. Ike looked almost surprised to have that much room. I want more of those.
Here are some other angles. Watch it over and over. It causes happiness.

Great dunk, but I did not like the celebration. Ike was late on defense, and St John's scored an easy hoop afterwards.

When your dunk is THAT good, it's up to your teammates to cover for you on D!

I understand where you're coming from but it was his first monster dunk as a college player in a game that was well in hand. I'm not saying it's the right thing to do but I can get why he'd be so amped. I know Georgetown guys are supposed to "act like they've been there" but Ike hasn't yet. Not to mention, I was slower getting back to my couch than he was getting back on D. I rewound it at least a half dozen times. And by a half dozen, I mean at least a dozen.

Great dunk! First one where he went upstairs. Heck celebrate and take a bow, young man! As a matter of fact take a minute vacation from getting back on defense.

Most Debby Downer comment ever?
I am the Laird Hamilton of websurfing. I have no rivals but nature and time.
Ike said in the post game that it was Coach Tyler who told him not settle for the midrange jumper, and to attack the basket after the shot fake...
Coach Tyler? Like the sound of that….
Yaboy, did Ike refer to him as Coach Tyler? I was kidding when I wrote that, but it has a nice ring to it. Ike's quote just says Tyler and the reporter added a the word teammate in brackets. Sorry if I confused you, but you can use it anyway.
Isn't it great that the players have other sets of eyes that they trust? Keep it up and good for Ike that he listens.
It happened as Seaweed described…. And yes I agree, it’s a great situation all the way around. There’s no doubt Tyler bleeds Blue and Gray, hopefully he gets offered a position on the staff next year. Would be a real asset not only as a coach but as a recruiter...

Spoken like a true Coach LH and you’re right… It happened twice last night, they’re young and I’m sure the Coaches are going to let them know about it.
Hard to blame the kid though that dunk was something special.

It was one of the (few) things St. Johns did right. After a big dunk or 3 pointer, they were looking to attack the basket when the Hoyas relaxed a bit. I've wondered why we don't try this more often, given the amount of self-congratulation that our opponents sometimes engage in.
