You earned your own thread today! We have been waiting, don't know what delayed your impact - and don't care! I cannot wait to watch the rest of your Hoya career. Hoya Saxa.

He was awesome! I agree he earned his own thread.
Please also keep an eye out for L J. I am afraid he got lost in the Bahamas.

This class is going to be really, really good. And I include young Mr. Mourning in that analysis. By the end if next year, he will be a solid contributor

Just walked past Trey Mourning. He'd obviously been in the gym here at Atlantis two hours after the game. Looks like he's putting in work.
Also thought Isaac played huge today, he had energy when others were wearing down from the grind.

Great game for Isaac today. I enjoyed seeing some of what he is going to do for the Hoyas. Hopefully, he can keep it up and keep his spot in the evolving rotation.

I have a feeling(or maybe just a hope) that all Isaac needed was a confidence boost to jumpStart his season, and he will be a big piece of the Hoya puzzle from here until March.

That one monster O board that he got today sold me - add him to the rotation. I didn't think he was so skilled outside, but like White he has the potential to be long and lethal

Isaac played very well today. That long O board he had which was mentioned earlier in the thread really got him fired up. I feel like that was all he needed to get his confidence going in this game. His attitude the rest of the way was great. He played really hard on both O and D. Each time he shot the ball he acted as if it should have gone in. Really liked seeing his confidence.

I actually thought he played well today in limited minutes. He was very active on defense and stripped or tipped the ball out on the glass to get us the rebound or an attempt at 2nd chance points. And he seems to play within himself and doesn't do anything really stupid.
I'm not sure why he's not playing more at this point. With Peak's regression and Hopkins implosion, there should be minutes at the 3 and 4.

I agree. He seems to be getting more comfortable with every game and even seems to be filling out a little more as well. Was pretty active today on both ends and did a good job of playing through the possession.

Copeland did not play at all in the second half.

Copeland did not play at all in the second half. He missed all of his shots and couldn't get a rebound giving up a couple of put backs. I'd like to seem him split minutes at the 3/4 with Trawick (at the 3) and White (at the 4) but he's gotta be more productive in the time he does get. He also needs to not forget about the little things, boxing out, not losing his man on defense etc. He still looks uncertain out there and we need him to gain confidence quickly.

JT3 has a very short leash with the young'uns coming off of the bench. If they don't produce in their first few minutes on the court in the first half, they'll likely be "riding the pines" in the second half.

He's just not strong enough to play power forward this year. He's a natural small forward but we have such a long jam at the 2 and the 3. It only gets worse for him when Tre plays point and DSR is at the 2 in terms of getting minutes.

It only gets worse for him when Tre plays point and DSR is at the 2 in terms of getting minutes. Agreed. He sees a minutes explosion next year at the 3 essentially taking Trawick AND Bowen's minutes IMO. He may split time at the 3 with LJ if III moves Tre to the starting lineup. Remains to be seen if we stick with DSR at the point. It's a tough call for III on that one as I'm sure DSR is well aware that his NBA potential rests on him showing the ability to play the point. Undersized shooting guards are a dime a dozen. I think he's confusing running/facilitating the offense with being less aggressive in looking for his own shot and needs to find a balance.

Good to see hime get a chunk of minutes this game so he can grow...20 min to Paul's 11. He just has too much of a skill set to not be a positive factor this year. More importantly he's a scoring threat from all over, which can't be said for some of the older players he subs in for. The minutes are tough to come by this year, but he rebounds well and is athletic. He just need to improve his understanding and getting him more PT can help. Also, he like most of the freshmen does not look afraid out there, very confident and aggressive. And the free throws look good!

I like Copeland's defense. Not that he's good at it (he isn't yet) but I like that his plan b isn't a foul. I think it's easier for a player to improve at defense than it is to lose the habit of fouling.

Great game from him last night. His and-one was the key play of the game.

I think it's easier for a player to improve at defense than it is to lose the habit of fouling. I agree. He had at least two possessions where he played solid man to man d in the second half. Even if he's not quite there yet we know the tools are there and it seems like the iq is there too. Especially in terms of not fouling as you said. Hopefully his play yesterday earned him more time in the near future.
