Enemkpali punched Geno Smith because he felt G.Smith owed him $600 for a plane ticket after he failed to show up for his football camp last month. Someone close G.Smith died so he couldn't attend the camp, and Enemkpali was still angered by this, and decided to punch G.Smith in the face. Enemkpali was immediately cut by the Jets. Was punching G.Smith worth being cut??? www.si.com/nfl/2015/08/11/geno-smith-ik-enemkpali-punch-broken-jaw-fight?

I guarantee that if Enemkpali is available before Week 7, he's signed by the Patriots.

Well, this chapter may be over, but there's likely more legal action to come. Sigh.

Free Jastremski! Free McNally!
Goodell is a joke. He's gonna get completely neutered in the next CBA.

I was thinking about starting a new thread with this story because the wife of a prominent member of an NFL franchise is acting like a high-schooler, but I decided to just put it here!! Jessica McCloughan, who is the wife of new Redskins GM Scott McCloughan, tweeted the following to ESPN reporter Diana Russini, "Please tell us how many BJ's you had to give to get this story. And did they laugh at you before or after?" This was in response to D.Russini's tweet that "Changes Would Be Made If The Redskins Have A Losing Record At The Bye Week." Mrs McCloughan also tweeted that "I'm pretty sure this info is coming from my husband to his new side chick (dianna) It's confirmed. At first, the Redskins PR staff claimed that it was a fake account that tweeted this and they would inform NFL security about the issue. A short time later they admitted that Jessica McCloughan did indeed tweet these things and had her issue a written apology. And some people like to claim that it's just players who shouldn't be on twitter!! blacksportsonline.com/home/2015/09/redskins-gms-wife-tweets-espn-reporter-used-oral-sex-to-get-scoops/ deadspin.com/wife-of-skins-gm-apologizes-for-accusing-espn-reporter-1728376386?

He's gonna get completely neutered in the next CBA. Really? How so? What are the players going to give up to get a change in the disciplinary process? You think the owners are just going to roll over?

You think the owners are just going to roll over? I think this may be the rare instance where both sides believe the same result to be advantageous. The players obviously believe they are being railroaded and punished unfairly by the Commissioner's office (and the federal courts apparently agree wholeheartedly). The owners, for their part, want to avoid any PR hit to the league, and by delegating discipline to a more objective third-party, the Commissioner's Office (and, by extension, the League and its owners) can just wash their hands of it. The neutral would still discipline the players, so the owners don't give that up, but if anything gets overturned, it's the neutral's problem. The owners also have a different self-interest in making the process fair: If it's not, it could bite them in the rear. Already happened to New Orleans, New England, and others.

You think the owners are just going to roll over? I think the owners are going to be the ones that side with the PA and neuter him. Tagliabue got a raw deal by being criticized on the way out by being too concerned with due process and not willing enough to dole out supensions willy-nilly. His legacy looks a lot better.

I think the owners are going to be the ones that side with the PA and neuter him. All evidence to the contrary. Have you seen the public statements from Jerry Jones, Bob McNair, et al? And even if [some of] the owners don't like how Goodell has performed, they're not going to weaken the office of the commissioner.
