No. But I am 100% sure that most Democratic party members, including their last nominee to become President, are advocates of allowing mothers to kill their children. And at least a few Republicans (including - possibly - their current President) have actually paid for babies to be killed. Elliott Broidy, Scott DesJarlais, Tim Murphy...gee, I wonder if there might be others out there. But Democrats are the evil hypocrites on this issue. But the Democrats, I believe, have a woman's right to choose in the party platform and it's most recent presidential candidate pledged that only pro-choice people would be nominated to the Supreme Court. Not so with the Republicans. If Trump paid for an abortion he has committed an offense more heinous than what the priests and bishops did.

You fully understand what I am saying. Actually, I don't Ed. I get that you believe that murder is more serious than rape & Sodomy... I also get that you believe that the rape & sodomy of young children is a heinous crime... What I don't know is whether you think that abortion is more heinous than the rape & sodomy of young children, do you believe that? I have answered your question, you just don't like how I phrased it.

Yeah, better to support and finance something privately and hiding behind NDAs than to just be honest about your stance publicly.

I was holding out hope that you'd at least give an equivalence type answer but nope..

I'm happy to hear that the Pope finally said something. Though, to be fair, he picked the absolute safest place to do so. Talk about preaching to one's choir (pun intended).

What did he really say though? Sounds like it’s more of “this is bad and probably should stop” but nothing about the role of the church in allowing it to happen. But, he did give martial advice which seems completely insane. Hard to imagine anyone less qualified to offer this kind of advice.

Which, given the history of the Church, is a step in the right direction. I agree that it isn't much but the Pope acknowledging the situation is better than him not doing so.

This is hardly the first time they’ve acknowledged it. This is another thoughts and prayers thing which is all they seem to have.

I don't know if it is the safest place right now for the Pope to be, as they are still angry about their abuse scandal and also voted to make abortion legal. It would have been the safest place ten years ago.

Just a reminder that all you people who remain a member of this organization and support it allow this cover up to continue and are complicit in these crimes.

I hope I never step foot in a catholic church again. I will not be part of the problem (not to mention it's all nonsense and a waste of time).
