Apparently we have now offered.
Adam Zagoria@adamzagoria·2m
Georgetown is the latest school to jump on the bandwagon with an offer for 2015 G @spidadmitchell who is having a great July

Evan Daniels @evandaniels 14h I haven't seen a guard dominate a basketball game like Donovan Mitchell just did in a long time. 28 points, 7 assists, 6 steals and 6 boards

I'm a little salty we didn't offer him earlier. He played with Copeland all last year so would have been an easy thing to monitor and recruit him.

The killer part is there were reports the staff was monitoring him last fall but it just fell off.. hoyatalk2.proboards.com/thread/25922/2015-recruiting-thread?page=12

Don't see how his defense fits with what Pitino usually gets out of a 2. More of a small 3 in that system.

What's our chances with this kid given the fact that Providence has four open scholarships to give? Has Issac gotten in his ear about us? Love his lateral quickness in the half court, hint hint(he can create)!!

I've heard some good things, but who knows, we got in pretty late, but he pushed back his time table, so hopefully we have chance to convince him.

zagsblog.com/recruiting/donovan-mitchell-to-trim-list-planning-visits/“I will be trimming my list before the weekend,” he told SNY.tv by phone, adding the he isn’t sure how many schools he will cut his list to.
Mitchell will also take officials to Indiana and Florida State in August, leaving him two more. He remains undecided on those at the moment.scouthoops.scout.com/story/1427470-storylines-recapping-july?s=75MITCHELL OWNED JULY No player improved his stock in July more than Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy standout Donovan Mitchell. I watched the powerfully built 6-foot-3 guard in every July evaluation period and a total of four times. Each time he was impressive. Last November he was known as an athlete with potential on the defensive end. Now he’s much more than and is a shot maker from three. All four times I watched him in July he hit multiple threes, including three or more in three of the games. He’s an improved ball handler and passer as well. He makes aggressive plays towards the rim and once he’s there he’s a terrific finisher because of his strength and athleticism. Speaking of his athleticism, he’s quite gifted in that area and is capable of highlight reel dunks in transition or off put backs. He’s a lock down defender that moves well laterally and plays a tough, physically brand of ball. Heading into July, Mitchell wasn’t regarded as a top 100 prospect. Now he’s in the conversation for a spot in Scout.com’s top 25.Top 25 puts him up there with Trier, Dozier, Bacon ect..

Are he and Copeland tight? Wouldn't hurt.
Also seems unfair to jump on the staff for not being all over this kid a year ago, when it seems that his development was recent and spectacular.

Sounds a little like Trawick and Peak from a competitive standpoint.

Good list. Given that he is considering four Big East schools, it sounds like he wants to play in the Big Leagues!
