Got to let last night go. It us our turn for some revenge. The men will be focused and ready, and we will get back on track. Having Jabril, especially on the defensive end, will make a huge difference from last time. I see a nice Hoya win ahead.

This is a must win game if we want to have any hope of making the NCAAs without winning the BET. We can't afford another loss to a 100+ RPI team, since we already have two of them, including the loss at home to these guy.
Gah, that was just such an atrocious loss.

Seton Hall beat Xavier on the road. They are not that atrocious, but yeah, losing this game means we are almost out of options and have to basically beat nova on the road or in the BET. I don think that is lost on III and the guys. Beating a 4-8 team in a 3 quarters empty Newark arena is less daunting than Nova on senior day or in the semis in the garden. One would think.

FWIW, KenPom predicts SH as the winner. We have a 45% chance of winning. For all practical purposes, it's pick 'em. His system predicts a two pt loss for us. Gotta take this one! Let's get it done.

Basically as close as it gets to a must-win at this point. Our margin for error is so thin because of the hole we dug ourselves with that five-game losing streak. A road loss (though perhaps not a blowout) to St. John's is, at best, excusable, they are playing very well right now. However, a loss at Seton Hall would not be - as TBird pointed out, we cannot afford another "bad loss," we already have two this season.
Let's put Sunday in the past and go out and get this one. Revenge for our home loss against them should be on the players' minds.

Anyone know whether Willard reinstated the two starters who were suspended for the SJU game?

No official announcement yet, but local sportswriters are indicating that both Teague and Oliver will be back for the Hoya game, but that they may be coming off of the bench. SHU fans are voicing concerns with Willard's track record of lack of discipline, leading to player suspensions and transfers; the concern is with any potential impact on incoming players. The general consensus is that there is no program in the Big East as dysfunctional as the Pirates.

Actually, I'm thinking they'll be at the scorer's table at the opening tip, and coming in at the first whistle.

Teague crushed us in the first game. I don't know, Hop outscored and outrebounded him. But Teague did have a fairly productive game. Hopefully we can limit him this time.

But when the tide really turned against us, it was Teague getting easy buckets down low and grabbing big rebounds. I hope he's not coming back for this game.

Limit Oliver's looks from three, like we did in the first game.
