You guys are the greatest; denny, MCIGuy, EtomicB, Hoyajmw, YaBoyNyP, and blueandgray thanks for your input. With all that said do you'll think Reaves is under rated as a 3 star. I agree with MCIGuy 100% our priority should be a big, 6'10 w/mobility and nothing less.

Mann, Mann & Mann for me.. I do like Reaves a lot but Mann is a more polished player IMO.. The thing I like about both of them is that they don't need the ball to be effective.. I'd love to see the staff get both along with Dickerson too.. Derrickson, Dickerson, Mann & Reaves is a monster class especially if Dickerson develops a mid range jumper like he says he wants to. To me with Derrickson already on board my priorities would be: - a highly regarded big man who is at least 6'10 - A. Grier - Dickerson - and whoever we have room left for I agree with MCI but I don't know whom I want more Trier or Mann. Should I feel bad for wanting both? Ideally Rabb/Comanche, Trier, Mann, Dickerson, and Derrickson. I don't know the scholly available for '15 but this class after '14s class would have us ranked in the Top5............

Priority #1 is a big man, there is no debating that. As far as the guard situation, I would take any 2 of Trier/Mann/Reaves. Though I think I like Trier the best of the three.

I saw the Scout.com reference via the terrapin site and got jazzed myself when it said we had offered -- but in the video interview of Reaves from March 13 they were referencing he actually says he has offers from 5 schools named above but is only being looked at closely by us (and no mention of Nebraska at all, which the other site checks off as having offered). So I'm not confident the sites are right. Then again, it is certainly possible we stepped up over the week-end following Alhambra -- Broadus and the rest of the staff sure had some unexpected time on their hands...

Reaves apparently named first team All-Met, per the tweet below (along with first team VISAA state and first team all WCAC -- with Marcus Derrickson on both). Not officially announced yet in Wash. Post, but typically they'll contact players for the photo they take of the team, which I'm betting is how he knows... twitter.com/jreaves_23

I must be way off in my assessment of Mann but I don't see how anyone can rate Reaves higher. I like Reaves a lot too.. Either way at least they're both being talked about..

Does Josh Reaves have an outside shot? My fear is that we can't assume all athletic players can figure out 3-point shooting. Trawick, Bowen, etc never really were able to turn the corner with it. So, I'd hope the staff waits to see some evidence of good shooting from Reaves (beyond his great D and athleticism) before offering him. I think he's a great prospect, but recruits who can't shoot (and again, I'm not sure if he can or not - haven't seen him play) don't fit our offense.

FWIW, Jabril shot 39% (13-33, albeit a small sample size) from 3 after returning from his jaw injury. I think he's turned into a credible 3 point shooter that defenses need to at least pay attention to. I would agree that Bowen's never really figured it out, though.

What is Domingo shooting? The knock down shooter is guaranteed when they move up a level in terms of competition. Some kids can get shots up against smaller, slower high school comp and they may not be able to adjust. If a kid has decent mechanics, that should be all that matters. The coach makes a couple million a year for a reason.
