I am a big fan of this kid. Came and played hard. Seemed to always struggle with his confidence but dedicated to the program when others transferred and apparently dedicated in the classroom. I know he had his critics here, but much of the criticism was about his foot speed and mobility--something many of the players in recent years have lacked. I hope he graduates and moves on to a program where his shooting prowess can be utilized and his confidence will grow.

Dang this makes me sad. I had really high hopes when we landed him that he would eventually get it together and be a huge part of this team. Seems like he got recruited over and just couldn't keep up defensively to where he could ever have meaningful minutes on this team. I hope he gets to grad transfer this upcoming year and I'm really glad he's gonna graduate with a georgetown degree.

Reggie was the first guy jumping up off the bench to cheer on his brothers. He worked hard, and he did improve, but unfortunately his limits held him back. He made some good contributions early last year. There will be some games this year when we could use someone off the bench to knock in a couple from long range, although of course you could never be sure if he would get hot.
If indeed he decides not to finish his career here, I hope he finds a good fit where he can be a factor for his last year.

I really do not know Reggie's situation but with now having penetrator(s) his game becomes even more valuable for if defenses begin to sag to stop penetration then you start kicking it out the the shooters who should have more space (translate to a little more comfort) now to get a shot off. You need shooters with attackers, this keep the defense more honest and it works in turn to give you space for your attackers. Example when we sent too men to lane to stop the guard from driving (maryland) they kicked to the shooters for open space shots and when we tried to cover the shooters better it gave more lane space for the guard on the pick and roll.

Yes, Cowan did a great job doing this. We let him slip out of our hands as well.

We're going to be sorry we need shooters!!! I wish Reggie the best, but his three point shooting (junior to freshman year) was 35.6% (31.7% in conference play), 20.8% (0% in conference play), and 32.1 (26.5% in conference play). We do need shooters, I'm just not sure Reggie would be that guy.

We're going to be sorry we need shooters!!! agreed. I am not sure how much time he would have seen....but I thought we could use him is spot situations....especially as a senior. On the bright side, I am really happy to hear that he is going to stay in school and graduate from Georgetown.

Reggie showed some flashes last year, but he is simply too far down the pecking order this year to get much PT. Hopefully he gets himself onto a solid team with a need for a spot up shooter, and can end his college career as an important piece somewhere.

Could he take this year off (for whatever reason) and come back next year as a grad?

Great kid. A shooter who just couldn't drain them at high enough a clip. I wish him the best.

Seems to be a great kid who is supposed to have great range on his shot, but was never really consistent enough with it. In fairness to him, it is tough to be consistent when you don't get consistent playing time. I have always felt the real issue with Reggie was he was not quick or athletic enough to compete against the higher level teams.
I hope that whatever he decides and wherever he goes he has great success.

Hard to see a lot of minutes on this year's team for Reggie, so this makes sense from that standpoint. Any chance he could just redshirt and come back next year? We'll lose Hayes and Pryor for sure, could also lose Peak, Copeland and Govan (although I think it's a longshot any of those 3 is a first round lock after this season).

Reggie, can you please come back to the team and hit some threes for us?

I don't get it...What made Reggie get labeled as a shooter? His high school mixtape? Cause we never saw it at Georgetown.

3-20 from three point land tonight. At home. Against Arkansas State. Gotta think Reggie might have been able to help.

There's some chatter in Casual/Ben standing news article on his situation. Might explain something sin terms if the teams performance last night.
