But they need to use their fouls and play like they have nothing to lose instead of acting like starters.

Did we get any info on why Reggie was a DNP yesterday?

Did we get any info on why Reggie was a DNP yesterday? Probably because the style of play doesn't suite his skill set anymore...

Heard he could've gone yesterday if they wanted to play him.

Heard he could've gone yesterday if they wanted to play him. I presume that means he had a nagging injury but could go if needed? Thanks HSB.

From the casual website: Cameron update: Reggie Cameron was the lone Hoya that dressed and didn’t feature but after the game JT3 indicated that the senior was OK.

There was a point in the second half where III looked like he went over to him and said something to him. It was caught on camera, but not sure what was said obviously. Very odd that he didn't get it

Whether he could have gone or not, I would hope that even with the smallest injury he would have been kept out of that particular game. No sense aggravating even something minor in that kind of blowout.

I am a big Reggie Cameron fan. I have a feeling he will hit some big shots this year.

Any word on his status? I thought we suspected an injury last game, but didn't see him even on the bench today.

So he gets a graduate transfer year if he doesn't play this year, right? That could make sense for a guy who saw limited minutes ahead on this year's team. Too bad, but many folks seem to feel he was likely to be odd man out this season in many ways.

Correct. It would make perfect sense. And I'm glad to see he's on-track to graduate. I also don't think there's any rule precluding him from practicing, etc. with the team (unless he didn't want to), so the leave of absence part is a little odd.

As a player who always seemed to try and never seemed to squawk, I wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors.
The fact that regardless of Basketball he is on track to graduate show the young man's priorities are in order.
Good for him.
