Blue - please know I was not being critical in any way. I know that you were conveying exactly what the staff believed. It is just another hard lesson on how incredibly fluid recruiting can be - sometimes for the worst, sometimes for the better. Don't stop relaying what you know(to the extent that you can of course!)

Just hard to think we went from a "lock" to be in his final 3 right to the end, to not even making it into the last 5. But yeah, we have Jessie coming, and a couple of other options. Hopefully we can close one of them better than we did with Rabb. At one point, everyone on the inside was confident on where we stood with him. That obviously changed and things cooled off. I apologize for dragging the board through this. Going forward will play more the role of spectator than insider. Please don’t do that… Everything you said was backed up by Rabb himself in his interviews. During the summer Gtown and UNC were the hottest names associated with him. Guys need to realize it’s recruiting, nothing is guaranteed, and things can change at the snap of a finger. It’s not your fault nor was anything you reported false. I personally appreciate the insight and info, and I’m sure other feel the same way. Message to the Board: Take all insider info with a Grain of Salt! 17 year old kids change their mind sometimes!

Blue I think we all know that you only gave us info that was given to you from reliable sources. You are one of the few that can put us in the coaches heads. Keep bringing whatever you can relay.

One less 17 year old whose whims I need care about. Let's get the guys that want to be Hoyas, and win with them.

From someone whose sole knowledge is this Board....I'm guessing adding Tacko and Robinson is the best we can hope for at this point. We seem to be whiffing on the higher profile guys, of which Dozier is one. Plus he is a point guard...that dreaded position that noone great, wants to play for the Hoyas. Not really, There’s still a long way to go….. Some committed kids won’t sign their LOI in Nov. Coaches will get fired during/after the season and there will be some good pieces available in the spring. It’s recruiting so these things can change in the bat of an eye. Remember our last really good recruiting class 4 years ago only Had Trawick and Hopkins at this point. We signed Addams in November and Greg and Otto both in the Spring. Heck we didn’t even know who Greg Whittington was at this point. So I know as fans we want everything yesterday but with 2 high level recruits and a top 5-10 class the year prior we’re still in good shape. Something will shake out and we will be fine

Tacko or bust at this point.

Totally not taking your comments personally. I do however take on the role of messenger personally (its hard not to) and its frustrating when the inside info can change so suddenly.

I have yet to see you announce someone was a lock to commit who did not commit. You just tell us who the staff is pursuing and feels good about. Keep up the good work!!

Honestly; the only reason I come to this board is that it has some inside info, mainly relayed by B&G. Thanks for all you have contributed, and please know that we know recruiting is fluid and for better or worse like to ride the waves. For me, I even further learned from the inside info you provided how true this is - and it makes the twists and turns of recruiting more easy to understand.

Even insiders can be fooled/let down by these kids who have so much to choose from and, sometimes, so much dough thrown at them. Not pointing any fingers. Blue&Grey and others, just remember your own advice, recruiting is a "fluid" and "ever changing" saga.

Add me to the list of those who wish to thank you blueandgray. As stated by others, you were giving the information you had at each point and, as you also shared, changing of situation/circumstances/position with a recruit is the norm, not the exception. You also related a dip in confidence as well which, personally, makes this much less of a blow. Thank you for your continued insight and information. I think it's pretty clear that many of us would love for you to continue to do what you have done if, that is, that's something you're interested in doing. If not, that's understandable as well both from the time aspect and the feeling of disappointment that we all share. If it's the latter, thank you for the perspective and all of the good information you've provided. Posters like yourself and YaBoy help us to feel involved in a way. It sucks when it doesn't go our way but it would suck without information/insight too. Here's to hoping the train gets right back on the track. In the interim, we have some guys on board already that are very easy to get excited about. I can't wait for November! And, best of luck to Rabb wherever he goes. He didn't end up a Hoya but I have liked the way he's conducted his recruitment. He's been very straightforward and that seems less the norm with the elite recruits. Tip of the cap to him.
