Maybe its a little early for this thread, (13 days away) but I'm excited and can't remember the last time we opened the season against a ranked opponent. I know there is a lot of talk about Oregon's backcourt, but there is no way I trade theirs for ours.
Question....anyone know game time and if this is televised?

Is anyone going to this game in person? I'm trying to get two tickets, but Georgetown says they can't help me out. And I can't find tickets online either.
Calling all Korean Hoyas or expats living in Seoul. Who's going to Camp Humphreys?

I predict that Oregon displays uniforms that are so ugly that the Hoyas refuse to play until they change into something that will not blind them.

Besides last year when we opened with top 10 Florida? (I guess the game technically didn't happen so i'll give you a pass) Oregon is going to be a tough test. Figuring their transfer Young will get cleared too. They've definitely got some really good talent on that team

Who's going to Camp Humphreys? #HoyaSaxa #WeAreGeorgetown The reason that there are not tickets available is because all attendees had to be pre-screened by the Department of Defense. Applications for prescreening had to be submitted in September. While I am fortunate to be attending the game, the logistics are still very much up in the air. The 7:00 p.m. EST tip off has not as yet been confirmed.

Here's the box score: www.goducks.com/pdf9/2558070.pdfThe Ducks look pretty thin up front and did give up a decent amount of offensive boards, so maybe that's something the Hoyas can exploit.

Unless he has drastically improved from last year, Young is in my opinion not going to make a colossal difference on this Oregon team. Certainly no Josh Smith

Certainly no Josh Smith I didn't see him play, but his kenpom stats are pretty impressive: ORtg 124.1 (24th) eFG% 54% (278th) TS% 60% (119th) TO rate: 9.8 (34th) 18pts/game 42% from 3.

Oregon obviously has a great backcourt with Dotson, Artis, and Young. It will be interesting to see how our own stable of guards matches up with them. Great test to start the season. Personally I think Markel and DSR (a leaner, meaner DSR) could be one of the more formidable guard tandems in the country this year, certainly in the Big East, and we all know what Jabril brings to the table. Nothing like challenging them right off the bat.
