Lloyd will be the starting PG. He's about 5'7 but quick as a jet and can dominate a game. We will need to get back, control tempo, limit transitions and keep Markel out of foul trouble. This kid makes you reach. If you reach, you'll foul. Get back on D...make them shoot themselves to victory. Our odds improve greatly in that circumstance.

lol. Loyd is ok. He's quick, but he's nowhere near being good enough to dominate a game. That made me laugh. He's a good defender, can't shoot it a lick. And while he's quick, he's not really good enough to consistently get by people. He had a great Pac-12 tournament last year, out of nowhere. He's ok. Not close to Markel as a player.

Dude's a PG with a 30% turnover rate and an offensive efficiency near Hopkins. I'm not quaking.

In light of this new suspension news, I predict a 70-63 Georgetown victory.

I actually think we win this game much easier than most think. Alot of guys have the experience of playing in this type of setting (China trip, Maui, Battle ship), Four returning starters and more cohesion.

Agree totally but then again, I am always too optimistic. JT III just looks to me like he had canary pie for dinner! I think it's better than he lets on.

Not only do they now lose their starting point, but they are trying to integrate a number of transfers too in Young & Moser. I hope our cohesion trumps their guard play & speed.

Lots of Las Vegas connections on Oregon. The two that were suspended went to school in Las Vegas (Finlay Prep and Bishop Gorman), so what do you expect? I think Loyd went to Bishop Gorman too and Moser transfered from UNLV.

I liked this part: “There’s not much like going up against Josh,” said the 6-8, 219-pound Lubick. “He’s the least fun person I’ve ever boxed out in my entire life.” Nate has boxed out some beasts, so there's that.

Based on the backdrop to Andy Katz, the Hoyas should feel right at home since the venue looks like McDonough. The key will be to not confuse Oregon with Old Dominion.

Again, I don't think I've ever read quotes like Markel's from previous GU players under JT3. There's an edge to his words. Time to walk the walk!!

There are two interpretations that would make our first practice date fine, either: You lose a day when you go west across the international date line, thus 43-1=42 or, Days are measured when the games are played in the US, thus it is 42 days. I think we're OK on this one.
