Nice win. Game apparently closer than the score indicates. ODU definitely pressured us with plenty of shots and corners. Strong showing. Next is 11 seed Michigan St in DC on December 1st.

aw no we DOMINATED the game EXCEPT for about 15 minutes end of the first half but DOMIHATED the second half with speed great d great goalie and alot of break out attacks. 3-0 was NOT close nope only for that fifthteen minutes end of the first half were they in any danger. DOMINATED. bring on the next one sunday OUR HOUSE> go hoyas the best is yet to come. If you did lOOK at the game we dominated only scary part that end of fist half fifteen minutes that was only close part. Ps the goal by freshman alex muyl was one of the BEST in college soccer this year. Go hoyas

Very frustrating loss. Lots of opportunities for the Hoyas, and they spent more time inside the 18 with possession of the ball in this match that I've seen in any other this season, or maybe ever. That did not translate into shots on goal, unfortunately, although there were numerous near misses on crosses that would've been almost-certain goals had they connected. A ton of blocked attempts from close range as well.
Moral of the story: win your conference and get a higher seed to ensure you don't end up facing a squad like Michigan State in your second game of the tourney. Easier said than done, I know.
A letdown after last season's run, obviously, but this program is establishing its place as one of the (few) crown jewels in Georgetown athletics.

Ives Galarcep (@soccerbyives) tweeted:
I’m also told that, as expected, Patrick Mullins and Steve Neumann among handful of seniors given pre-draft senior MLS contract offers.

Steve Neumann goes fourth overall to New England Revolution. First attacking player taken. Great for him and for GU Soccer.
