Well, it moved Cal up from not ranked to 10th, so the Hoyas have some cachet with the voters.

Looks like the Hoyas are going to beat WVU. They lead 3-0 with about five minutes to go. Brandon Allen scored two goals.

Men Host WV today at 4pm They host #9 New Mexico at noon on Sunday Big test for the Hoyas. Have seen the Lobos play last year and last week against Nova and they are fast and athletic. They lack some of the size they had last year as two of their bigger players moved on to the MLS. Still this will be a major opportunity for the Hoyas to move up in the rankings.

I think it was what some would term a "good loss" as this New Mexico team will be highly ranked all year.

I think it was what some would term a "good loss" as this New Mexico team will be highly ranked all year. Still, a heartbreaking yet blown opportunity. I think a 2-2 start for the preseason #3 team in the country has got to be disappointing so far. Let's get back to our winning ways against Duquesne and JMU this week.

Men defeated Duquesne 1-0 today. Brandon Allen scored the lone goal. Postponed from Thursday to Friday at noon due to inclement weather. Boy, there are a lot of things I miss about DC, but the weather is not one of them... JMU next.

Defeated JMU 1-0 again on a Brandon Allen goal. Scraping by Hoyas dominated the game. Just having issues finishing and getting shots on target. Hoyas out shot JMU 20-7 unfortunately only 4 of our shots were on goal. We had 15 corner kicks to their 2. So I don't think scraping by is an accurate assessment.
