Was never a big fan of Mann. think he was bit overrated on this board due to the fact that he was 6'5. at the end of the day he is a 3 star, borderline top 100 recruit (yes recruiting services are not 100% accurate). I may be a bit critical, but i am glad the staff is actually being selective. no knock on tre campbell, but i'd rather have us gone harder for melo trimble who i think is a far better prospect and the staffs have realized that as well. with staff being selective in the G position and trying their best to get allonzo / bacon or other top tier guards in the latter class, the future looks brighter.

Kinda glad the Hoyas got Tre. There is a limit on how many stud, wanna-be-the-man players you can have on your roster. A guy like Tre is perfect because he doesn't come in with that same mentality. Besides the Hoyas couldn't really have Trimble AND Trier along with DSR (for a year) and expect for the rest of the guys to get enough touches.

Yeah Tre is the type of PG I like for us, good decision maker who has an above average jump shot.

Besides the Hoyas couldn't really have Trimble AND Trier along with DSR (for a year) and expect for the rest of the guys to get enough touches. don't get me wrong - tre is a solid player. but melo trimble will be going to pro in two years - the best guard prospect i have seen in a while. not to mention melo has completely destroyed tre in the champsionship. if melo was in class of 2015/16, i think our currently being selective staff would have definitely tried to get him along trier as well. i just think the staff was not being selective enough and kinda panic-offered campbell because they thought they could not get any other better PG prospect. mann is a solid player as well just like tre, but think we can do better at this point. and if our staff keeps working hard like this and produces good results in the tourney, think we may be looking at a class of everyone at 5 stars by class of 2017.

It's great to have a guy like tre on the team...good glue guy who has skills and who will play. the kid is an ideal back up and doesn't seem to mind that role as he is actively recruiting guys like Trier to join the Hoyas. You can't compare Tre to the other guys, but he still fills an important role for us.

Biggest stock riser Terance Mann: He has been a well-known prospect for some time, but he’s taking his game to new levels as of late. He’s arguably as important to his BABC team as any other player on the circuit. At 6-5, with a long and increasingly strong build, he handles the majority of their ball-handling responsibilities, leads the team in both assists and rebounds, asserts himself defensively, and is now even creating offense for himself with new-found regularity.

Kid may very well be a good player ...but I don't think he ends up a Hoya.

Kid may very well be a good player ...but I don't think he ends up a Hoya. b&g, are you getting the vibe that Mann is on the backburner behind Smith, Trier, and Bacon? If true, it makes sense for the staff to target the very top guys with the two remaining scholarships, but it's probably a good idea to at least stay in touch with Mann.

B&g, who has commitable offers in 2015? I assume Trier and Rabb, but who else could call up today and take a schollie?

Not sure who Smith is..

Without getting into it, better for the board to focus their energy and attn. on other players. Other targets at guard are being pursued more aggressively.

B&G - Is it one of Dozier, Trier or Bacon at this point?

Dozier is very, very high on the list. Good to hear. Is it mutual interest? Trier has been to games and always says great things about the program, and we know Bacon also has a connection to Gtown.
