Differently-abled old glide. DELETEDWe all know you, glide. And trying to place even one iota of blame on the refs for that disaster is the epitome of lame.

Watching MCW and Triche play poorly then end up in tears, and listening to the commentators criticize the Cuse zone in front of a national audience, etc did make me feel a little better. Now if Michigan can blow out Louisville I'd be well on my way to looking toward next year. Too bad Wichita choked.

Actually, I thought Syracuse's zone was good most of the game. I remember some of those comments, and I disagreed at the time. Barkley actually said they needed to change their defense. Michigan just shot it unbelievably well in the first half. From really deep. Not much the defense can do there. That's all on the offense. Their half court offense rarely got good interior looks. The few inside points they scored in the first half primarily came from transition baskets or O rebounds. They surely shot the hell out of it, though.
Those shots weren't falling with nearly the same frequency in the second half. Michigan only scored 25 pts in the Vesper, several of those coming late as Syracuse was forced to foul. Syracuse's problem was that their offense SUcked. Thanks primarily to MCW and Southerland, they only scored 56 points in a 60 possession game.
I admit, though, that watching them lose and seeing that misery did make my night. I'm so happy they lost. I feel no better about our loss, however.
