Agreed---this win should make voters forget all about the Nova loss.

Indiana/Michigan tomorrow is going to affect things too. I'm guessing we stay at 5.

I think Miami creeps back up.
Hopefully UNC helps us out.

Baylor beat Kansas. So depending on the voter, Gtown and Miami are either 4 or 5 probably.

Didn't Miami lose at home to a bad GT team this week?
Also how is UNC playing this badly?

Also how is UNC playing this badly? The ACC is very overrated this year...UNC is mediocre and should be embarrassed for getting blown out like that on their home court. If it was not for ESPN the ACC nor Duke or UNC would be getting as much hype as they do. If G'town can win the BET they deserve the #1 Seed, but it seems nationally and ESPN are trying to find reasons for them not to get it...the only 2 people that really gives this team true credit is Tony Kornheiser and Digger Phelps

They were playing an irrelevant UNC team in a rivalry game that will happen every year for the foreseeable future. Our game was infinitely more significant. But because we won (and not Syracuse), ESPN relegated us to the "also played" list of stories on the right side of the page. And their "Big East Title" tab emphasizes a three-way tie, rather than the one team that WON (i.e., gets the #1 seed in) the league.

I just didn't expect to see a giant heaping of Duke when I logged on tonight. Maybe I should have known better.

It's Duke. They get slurped. UNC sucks this year but that doesn't make for good TV. You can't make Ryan Kelly or Curry look like stars unless you fabricate competition. Screw em. I'd love to watch Markel hound Curry and Otto make Kelly look like the player he actually is.

Kenpom keeps us #12, right behind the 'cuse team we whooped twice so far. Finally broke into the top 10 in RPI though.
Here's a challenge for the stats guys - who can rework RPI with a 4 pt loss to Florida factored in? If we were credited with playing the #1 team, wouldn't our mathematical rankings shoot up a bit?

I think that we are 5-6 tomorrow. I don't understand the Duke love. The talking heads are calling them the #1 overall seed. Somehow Ryan Kelly has become the next Laettner................

I would be shocked to see Gtown at 6. #4 kansas lost, to Baylor. They are moving down. The question is whether Maimi jumps gtown. I dont see how. Both won and lost this week, but Miami's games were Georgia tech and Clemson. Both of those teams are worse than Nova.
I cant imagine Miami jumping over Gtown (especially because Miami's game against Clemson wasnt on national TV and voters are biased to teams they see on TV). I see 4.

Also stayed at #5 in ESPN's Power Rankings, with Louisville jumping us to #4, which was the same case in the CBS rankings. Not surprising given that Louisville did not lose this week, that they share the BE regular season title with us, and that the media has had a massive crush on the team all season (justified because they're good and will be a real load in both the BET and NCAAs). espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/powerrankings
