Would love to end up in the South Region. I would much prefer the Friday/Sunday schedule for my work.

If we get a 1 seed, we will definitely be the first 1 seed to lose to a 16. It's destiny.

We always have a phenomenal seed. I don't think we've been lower than one of the top 16 seeds but once since 2007. Unfortunately, we don't have much to show for it. All of us have learned that tournament seeds mean little. Unless we get a 1 and are therefore immune from a first-round upset, we know we will all be on pins and needles around here come tournament time. Let's enjoy the next few weeks before the high anxiety time sets in. Totally Agree

juicesbracket.blogspot.com/At least one site agrees we should be a 1 seed today. Regardless of seed, I think we're fated to be in the same region as Florida. In the comments below the bracket, he noted how FL "dominated" GU on Day 1 of the CBB season. While we didn't play well that half, dominated is not quite how I remember it. Nonetheless, I like the seed and references to the very strong resume we are building.

If we get a 1 seed, we will definitely be the first 1 seed to lose to a 16. It's destiny. I'm taking this as sarcasm, because if it's serious, it would defy explanation. On a serious note, I think we're better positioned for the post-season than any recent time. It's also amazing to consider where we are if you imagine how we all felt after that USF game, when it looked like we might not even make the tournament. The biggest strength we have is our elite defense. The elite defense makes it far less likely (though not impossible) that a team is suddenly going to go off on us in shooting or beat us as Ohio did. This team knows about Georgetown's post-season struggles, and they are going to want to prove something in March. Lastly, we have Otto Porter and the other guys do not.

I'd just like to win the BE - we'll almost certainly be put in Philly for the first 2 rounds (probably as a 2 seed if that's the case) and from there - I could care less where/who/when we play.

As much of a dweeb as he is, the only guy I look at is Lunardi. He's by fay the best at this, and by far the most accurate down to the seeding Looking at recent years, I sometimes feel the committee actually makes some of their decisions based on Lunardi

If we win out, there's no way we aren't a top seed....If we lose once, win the regular-season title and win the BE Tournament, we are still a one seed out west, or the highest two seed, which means we would be East anyway matched up with the lowest one seed....either way, we've put ourselves in VERY good position down the stretch. Will we take advantage? That's the big question. But unlike a lot of years past, we have ALOT to play for in these last three weeks We can't be in the "East" because the "East" regional is at Verizon Center. Well in 2009, Villanova was the 3 seed and their first two games were at the Wells Fargo Center against American and UCLA. How did that happen?

How did that happen? They played all (or almost all) of their games at the Pavilion, so Wells Fargo was not considered their home court. They did something similar in 2006, although they ended up in the Midwest bracket.

To be completely honest, Ever since the upset to Davidson in 2008, Id much rather be seeded 5th or 6th. We seem to always crumble under the pressure of a "higher seed". Granted we were seeded 6th in 2011, but I think we had the potential to run of a few wins except we ran into VCU (the same way we ran into Ohio the year before)

Interesting. I did not know this. So if we played more than half (lets say) our games at McDonough we technically would be eligible for tourney games at Verizon.

Just looked it up and 5 home conference games were at the Pavilion, and 4 were at Wells Fargo. Pretty ridiculous rule if you ask me. The 4 games at Wells Fargo were Louisville, Syracuse, Notre Dame and Georgetown. They played 5 cupcakes at the Pavilion. Anyhow, thanks for explaining

Anyhow, thanks for explaining I believe the limit is 30% of your games at any venue. So if Gtown played 10 games at MSG they couldnt play there. It is a stupid rule because for these top teams venue really doesnt matter. Either the fans are for you (like with UNC/Duke every year in the south...) or are totally against you because they want an upset. Anyway, looking at the locations, the south region is most likely IF gtown gets a 1, which is going to be tough. The other regions have logical teams that fit in (west-gonzaga, Midwest- a big10 team). Most think that two big ten teams will get 1s but I think that is less likely with the second tier of the Big10 playing to so well (one of IU or UM is not going to make the conference final I think).

That AU-Nova game was quite interesting: scores.espn.go.com/ncb/playbyplay?gameId=294000024(For the TL;DR crowd...AU was up 10 at the half and by double digits as late as 13 minutes left before Nova made a huge run and took the lead for good with about 8 mins left).
