recruitscoop.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=15210702014 power forward Ben Bentil of WE R1 (DE) - After not getting much attention this spring, Bentil will be back playing on the Under Armour circuit, and at Reebok Breakout Camp this July after a strong performance at NBPA Top 100 camp. His game remains the same, and his ranking dropped due to his spring. Now at No. 74, he has some room to make up and a chip on his back. The four-star recruit is hearing from Georgetown, UCLA, Kansas State, Notre Dame and Marquette the most. With Mikal Bridges to Villanova, that likely takes them out of contention for Bentil, who is still not set on a school just yet, but could be ready once the July Live Period ends. Bentil seems very well suited to play the "4" spot in JT3's system

Recruiting Updates Ben Bentil, a class of 2014 power forward, was not sure who has offered him, but did know some of the schools recruiting him. The 6-foot-8 rising senior mentioned Georgetown, UCLA, Kansas, St. Joeseph’s, Villanova and Temple, noting that there are others as well. Bentil, who attends St. Andrew’s (DE), claims no favorites right now. He has yet to take any visits at this point in time, but does plan to likely use all five of his available official visits. The big man does not have a timetable for a commitment right now, saying that he has to speak with his mother and coaches first about that. His mother is back home in Ghana, which is where Bentil is originally from. www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2013_0715/reebok-breakout-classic-final-report/Adam Zagoria @adamzagoria 15 Jul Providence offered 2014 F Ben Bentil of WE RI, per coach Terrell Myers

true, I just mean our focus may be elsewhere. I'm sure the staff is monitoring especially since he doesn't seem to be in any hurry.

If Bentil's in no hurry and Paul White visits in August as expected, very possible that the "ship has sailed" by the time Bentil gets around to making his 5 official visits.

Bentil almost committed to Georgetown after his visit for the Syracuse game, but decided to hold off. He really likes GU and the feeling is mutual, so I'm kinda baffled at why he's waiting, but the staff is grinding and if he doesn't hop on, there might not be room for him when it's all said and done.

Kudos to the staff! We're involved with plenty of good bigs. Good luck (and get the best)!

basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1526716 During the spring, Ben Bentil seemed out of sorts with his game while sliding down the rankings. On Thursday, the 6-foot-8 power forward showed what he can be when he uses his strength and quickness around the rim to his advantage. Bentil dedicated himself to making things happen in the lane and as a result was highly productive. Georgetown, Providence and Miami are involved, and he was watched by head coaches from both St. Joseph's and Temple on Thursday.

insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruiting/on-the-trail/post?id=5195Best Frontcourt Performance Ben Bentil (Middletown, Del./St. Andrew’s) 2014, PF, 6-8, 225 Travel Team: We-R-1 Offers: Georgetown, Miami, Rutgers, Providence, St. Joseph’s and Temple, among others After spending the last five months trying to prove his skill set from the perimeter, Bentil finally got back to doing what he does best and the result was a championship for his We-R-1 squad. He returned to his roots, playing the game inside out and operating from the low to mid-post, where he was able to both overpower defenders and even facilitate for his guards with his passing ability. He mixed in a couple pick-and-pops and long-range jumpers to keep defenders guessing, but more often than not his plan was to get a piece of the paint. In short, this was the Ben Bentil we’ve been waiting for and there was a direct correlation between his efficiency and his team’s success.

Can guard out of position, passes out of double teams, runs the floor and finishes. Blocks on other end.
