Given more minutes? I think he gets enough. He just needs to keep doing what he's been doing as in last game and he'll def get more minutes. Now Moses, Domingo, Bowen, even Hayes - THEY need more PT.

DSR has been given enough time to show that he can play. He can shoot (though not so much lately). I haven't seen much else.

DSR has been given enough time to show that he can play. He can shoot (though not so much lately). I haven't seen much else. He has a shot that looks nice, but like everyone else on Georgetown, never goes in. He has a nice handle. Yes, his TOs are low because he isn't forcing anything right now, but he doesn't wilt under pressure and hasn't had any of those awful dribbling/pressure TOs that we used to constantly have. He draws contact well and gets to the line. He uses picks well and creates crafty separation from his own man. He's had a few really nice passes when given the opportunity to have the ball in his hands. It's not just a shot.

I did oversimplify but I'm not particularly comfortable with him dribbling in pressure. He does have a nice stepback/fade jumper. I'm not going to comment more because I don't want to get too down on a kid that hasn't played a full season. I'm hoping he progresses on the offensive end and dedicates more effort on the defensive side. If he can be the outside shooting threat that he looks to have the ability to be, that would be great for this team.

How can we fairly single out one player when almost all have played erratically this year? He has not played well. Even Otto has played poorly lately. It is a team breakdown and not simply a problem with one player. What I need to understand is whether this is an aberration or if the coaching staff simply missed on all of these players. Most were recruited by several major programs.

Think he gets the start now that GW is suspended for this game?

My guess wuld be Jabril 1st, then DSR subbing for either Markel of Jabril. Maybe we'll now get to see Bowen as a next option . . .

Either way, we need more guard play so this can only help. GW, although he used to be a guard, doesnt have the speed and ability to drive that a prototypical guard like DSR or Bowen has. I would like to see some more Bowen today

One man fast break killer. Unreal. Slows everything up as people flying up the court in front o him. I'm sorry people. He doesn't have "it"

Had 10 rebounds today…much better effort on D.. Unathletic so he can’t finish at the rim

Still thinking too much but we need to keep in mind that he is the only FR getting any type of minutes. The game will come to him and he will move quicker without constant thinking. He definitely looks tentative and over-thinking all of his moves out there. More time in the college weight room will help him as well, even if he has a good frame already, more strength will only help and they will help with his quickness as well.
The developments of Jabril and Aaron make me less worried about DSR's development and I think he should be one of the last off the bench. I hope that after Greg comes back, JTIII is willing to go 9 deep and run with a bench of Moses, Jabril, Aaron, and DSR.

He makes some mistakes. He's a freshman. But how you can say he doesn't have "it" I don't understand at all. He's got a good feel for the game, reads the seams pretty well, and is able to get into the lane, which this team desperately needs. The floater is not falling, mostly because he seems a little hesitant, but with confidence and minutes that will come. And yes, his D still needs work, but it was much better today until that last sequence of 3 pointers. Seriously. He is a freshman. He may not be all-BE now, and maybe not ever, but the kid can play. He's definitely got it.

He doesn't have "it" This attitude toward DSR by many on the board is embarassing. DSR played his best defensive game by far today, for which he took most of his prior criticism, yet now he is bad on the fast break? That is a bit of a reach for a kid getting his first extended playing time in the big east. It is like you guys must find somethign negative to say about him. He was fine with the ball, grabbed quite a few rebounds, was active on defense, made some FTs and shots, I mean what do you want from a kid playing his 14th college game? I am not sure what he did to rub you guys the wrong way, but I am very happy DSR is a Hoya.

It's weird, he cannot finish at the rim but makes nice passes inside the paint.

Sure. But to single out this stuff is getting just so bizarre. I really don't get it.

I thought this was by far DSRs best game as a Hoya. He did Anton of little things that caused the win and a few bigger things.
