I have 2 tickets I am 80% sure I can sell if people on the waitlist want them.
I got a few too many, I'll sell 'em back at face value. IM me or PM me or whatever if you're interested. I can't guarantee them as of this moment, but they most likely will be available. I MIGHT have a 3rd...

I've never been inside McDonough, and was wondering what kind of setup it has. Are there seats behind the basket at all or is it just on the sides? I assume the seats are bleacher seats as well?

Bleacher seats along both sidelines. About 6-8 rows of bleachers on each side. Nothing along the baselines unless we have SRO.

There's only 6-8 rows on each side and they still fit 2500?

I'd say it's more like 10-12 rows on each side, and I imagine they'll be adding something in on the baselines for this game.

I didn't realize it was that few. Should be real exciting with the place jammed.

Definitely not only 6-8 rows, its at least 12 rows and I would say a bit more. 12 rows is really nothing.
TICKET UPDATE: I have heard that about 250 student tix were sold today. Not sure exactly how accurate that is but a friend of mine said that that's what a person selling tix told him.
Also, the chair of HB managed to get 100 tix which he gave out to a bunch of us and we have been selling them. I have to go sell my 10 now.

We aren't going to make any money on this. So here's my proposal:
Ticket raids!!!
A (former) radio station in Philadelphia used to send its "street squad" to various places and give out tickets for upcoming concerts. I propose we have these Hoya Blue kids with tickets go to places like Vital Vittles, Lauinger Library, ICC Galleria, Red Square, etc. and just HAND PEOPLE TICKETS!!! Heck, next year I'll even offer to be a ticket raider myself for regular season games. It's a foolproof plan - if people have tickets in their hands, and their friends do too, they will go to the games.
Also, pushing that the game is going to be on ESPN does no good. It just gives people who aren't really enthusiastic fans an excuse to stay in and do laundry in preparation for their trip home Wednesday, because they can see it on TV instead of taking the 2-3 hours to actually go to the game.
And McD has something like 15 rows along each sideline, for the whole length of the arena, not just the court.

Good luck with your sales. Sell the place out!
If you don't sell all the student tickets, though, I know of a few folks who are still on the general admission waiting list.

Some alum has to know some one who wants to come! Give 'em to your waitlisted alum pals! Am I wrong in thinking that trying to unload them to some students will not be sccessful given the lack of interest now? HOW CAN YOUR CLASSMATES NOT WANT TO GO TO THIS GAME!?! Just give one goddamn night back to your school is all anyone's asking....

You have to be able to find 2 students who need tix. Im sure plenty need them but expect to get them tomorrow. Go door to door and you can probably sell them in a couple minutes.

Update: I just sold 18 tickets in the Dining Hall Either youre quite a salesman, or there are a lot of people who want to/are planning on going to the game, but are waiting til the last minute to buy tickets. Maybe a little of both. Hopefully there are a bunch more students planning on getting tickets just like those whom you found, only they werent at the dining hall tonight. We need more efforts like this next year... Its more successful for the ticket seller to go around seeking fans than it is to just put up a table somewhere and expect people to find you. A lot of people are moderately interested, but dont take the time to seek the tickets, but when the tickets come to them, they say "sure why not!".... It seems like we shouldnt have to do things like that, because as diehards, we think this is a huge game that ought to sell itself; however, the casual fan or average GU student doesnt view it like that at all. We need to encourage them by bringing the tickets to them, rather than simply expecting that theyll seek the tickets. It makses a big difference. Anyhow, good job 2007. Your dedication is impressive as always.

Barker Davis said 1,200 student tickets have been sold. If that is not enough for the student bashers out there than i can't defend us from your attacks. Let just hope he was a responsible journalist and actually talked to someone www.washtimes.com/sports/20050321-114803-7017r.htmIts gonna be crazy. now if i can just finish this paper......

1,200 is a terrific number. Assuming 50% of the tickets were reserved for students, that's only 100 short of a student sellout. Considering that vacation is coming up, great job students!
I can't wait for this game! I've been humming pep band songs to myself all morning!

I go to a lot of games. I have been to almost every home game since MCI Center opened and I have been to almost every BE tourney since I arrived at GU in 1985. I am embarrassed to admit how many post season tourney games I have been to; and in fact it is more than I can count any more. I have travelled to both NCAA and NIT games. I preface my post with that statement to show I have standing to comment.
I think the students this year are doing such a great job turning around the atmosphere that had really suffered in the last five years. The core group of fans deserves a round of applause. Don't get discouraged. Feed the sickness and I am sure it will spread like an air-borne infection as we continue to have success on the court this year and in the upcoming years. You students have got the best student section I have seen in years. Good job and go Hoyas!!!
BTW, I will add a ridiculously loud voice to cheering tonight at McD.

Thank you for your kind words. Judging by your fan credentials, would you agree that there is still a long way to go?
