This might not be the best game to criticize our passing.
There are probably better samples.

thats like the opposite of what I think. also I like that domingo wears his shorts a bit above his knees. Its like the closest thing we will ever see to a throw back jersey. I'd like to know who on this team you think is a good passer. Nate Lubick is probably the best and he is probably only overage compared to past players. I think DSR has potential but I haven't seen enough yet. Part of it is alsoe they don't makes the reads of the offense well yet, so it will get better. But, for now, they miss a lot of wide open layups and shots. I do think this is the best cutting away from the ball team I've seen under 3, which might be make the passing problem more glaring to me. I think Nate, Otto, and Whit are very good passers and that Starks and Trawick are good enough. What I see as a good passer is someone who is making the pass that they are supposed to be making with in the offense. So they are making the correct pass when they make it. They may not make every pass that they should, which I think it producing what you are seeing. But I dont think they make too many bad pass (though sometimes they make passes to cutters they shouldnt be). I was probably a little rude in my first response. I dont think that the passing is what is hurting the offense as much as bad shooting and bad luck.

I know assists aren't a perfect correlation with passing ability, but we assisted on each of our first nine buckets according to Rich. Passing isn't the problem.

I dont think that the passing is what is hurting the offense as much as bad shooting and bad luck. I think the shooting problems are in large part caused by our lack of good passers. What you described to me are average/bad passers. This offense needs great passers to be good, luckily this offense is good at developing passers so it's not the end of the world. To me a good/great passer seens the open man before he's open and is able to execute it well. Henry Sims was good-great passer. Everyone else was pretty meh. We don't have anyone that see's the play developing before it does yet, and if they do they can't get it to them. Yea, sure we have guys that can hit a wide open man, like in today's game. Unfortunately, we won't be playing Longwood the rest of the season. We didn't have to play much half-court offense in the first half. Our guys are much better in the open court this year. Obviously work has gone into developing that which is good. But as much work into developing the half-court offense and we will be much better.

We barely played any half-court offense that half. According to the announcer, we assisted on 14 of the 16 baskets we made = great passing. THat being said, this is longwood and a lot of them were fast breaks so I wouldn't expect the same against other teams.

I hope we see deep bench this half. Agreed and soon. If we aren't going to work on half court offense, I'd rather see some bench. We're up by 25.

Noticing that Whittington has a very flat outside shot. Thought the same thing last game but was not sure it was a habit.needsto try working on a little more arch.

They can't get the ball pass half court. This is reminiscent of Pop's teams.
